edmons is such a beast for you

I know!
8 homers in 13+ games is amazing, I could see him have a .300/35 HR/100 RBI season this year and claiming a starting job later this year, problem is our outfield is pretty much set with Lind, Wells and Rios, I guess he'll have to do with being a sub and sometime DH.

Burres close to being called up

LAS VEGAS, NV -- Brian Burres was robbed.

He currently plays for the Las Vegas 51's in the most crime-ridden state in the United States but he says of the city, "It's beautiful and the people are amazing here." Even through he is benefit to this fact he was not physically robbed by a person but robbed mentally a month ago by Blue Jays management who, after sending down starting pitcher Casey Janssen, filled in Janssen's spot with the underperforming Matt Clement who has brought that play with him to the majors.

The former Red Sox pitcher has a 7.53 ERA in 3 starts with the big club after an underwhelming 2-2 record with a 3.37 ERA in 5 starts with Las Vegas. Compare that to Burres record of 4-2 with a 1.66 ERA in 8 starts for Las Vegas and you can see how much the Jays' logic was flawed.

"It was dissapointing but it pushed me to perform better next time so that they don't make the same mistake again." Burres said.

The former Baltimore Oriole was released by the club in August after posting a 7-10 record with a 4.45 ERA last season. He was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training with the Jays and stuck with the club after a terrific Spring. However, he was only expected to be a third or fourth starter in Las Vegas but silenced his critics with an amazing start to the season.

Once passed over, Brian Burres has made sure that won't happen again.
