Jesus, my season was nearly over.

I was down 6-2 after 5 but Barajas hit a two run homer in the bottom of the 6th to make it 6-4 and then I had a HUGE comeback in the 7th because those O's pitchers were just throwing strike after strike, great game, and HUGE win, I need to finish them off in the series finale for sure

Anytime a team makes a great season comeback to earn a spot in the playoffs, they always get help from another team ... usually a collapse, like the Cards over the Phils in the 60s, or the Phils over the Mets last year.

Imagine the Giants' frustration in '93 when they won 103 games and finished 2nd, out of the playoffs, since the Braves won 104 games, and won the west and took on the Phillies in the playoffs (pre-division realignment and wildcard)

You need one of the top teams to falter a bit so you can narrow the gap.
