For the most part, I agree.
-The primetime games have been HORRIBLE. The most competitive Monday night game I can recall off the top of my head was Ravens/Jaguars and that game was very boring. Not to say that I didn't enjoy watching Green Bay put a beating on Minnesota a few weeks back but it's not like I got much excitement out of it.
-New York Jets football has been literally unwatchable for me this season for one reason alone: Mark Sanchez. Unfortunately they are on television every week here, so it would be nice if they had a decent quarterback to make these games interesting.
-I expect the Green Bay Packers to win every single game by a large margin. They have, for the most part, reached my expectations every week, and it's really just getting boring at this point. I haven't been overly excited about a Packers game since Week 1, as there really hasn't been any "big games" on the schedule.
To compare, last season was amazing because I knew this team had the talent to be the best in the league but it took until the playoffs for them to finally reach that potential. It was frustrating, but also exciting and refreshing to watch this team overcome injury week in and week out while somehow finding ways to improve and build chemistry. Now that they have reached their potential, watching games has turned into an ordinary routine: turn on game, expect excellence, see excellence, go on with my day.
You know this season has been boring when you run into a fan of a rival team and his response to you is "man, I can't even say anything about you guys. Enjoy the Super Bowl."
I really can't complain though, because soon enough I'll be wishing to have a season like this again.
Also, a big reason as to why the Packers 11-0 start has been boring and a bit under the radar is because, unlike the Patriots in 2007, I feel as though nobody is dying to stop them from going undefeated. By 07, the Patriots were an organization that was hated throughout the country for their success, while on the other hand, GB is one of the most respected franchises in the league, led by a very likable quarterback with a roster void of primadonnas and/or criminals.
-I also agree with the point made earlier about some of the top teams record-wise being mediocre. I can't see the Raiders, Bengals, Texans, Lions, Bears, or Falcons making any noise in the playoffs, but we'll see.
There are certainly some positives to this season, though.
-I haven't watched my team lose a game since 2010 (jinx)
-The Tebow-led Denver offense has been refreshing to watch. In a league where three quarterbacks are on pace to break the single-season passing yards record, it's great to see a team win games in an unorthodox fashion.
-Firstrowsports. For the first time ever I'm on pace to watch every single Green Bay game this season.
