This guy is annoying. Honestly is first couple of video were entertaining but it's gotten ridiculous. Him taking videos and breaking down a demo? No game is perfect. Have you ever played Call of Duty and not found any glitches? What about GTA? Halo? No they all have glitches, even Madden. Just gotta take it for what it is.

As an offensive lineman coach, the only answer I can come up with is the scheme. The guard assignment was to cross the DT's shoulder and take the second level. The fullback was supposed to pick up the DT. In this case, the FB looked as if he didn't even attempt plus he was standing too tall as it was. The guard did his job just fine. He made his block. This was just a case of the FB failing to do his job and failing to have proper technique. Came out of his stance too high, stayed too high and just flat out missed his block.

The video fails only because he took one instance and applied it to all cases.

There are run plays where a certain defensive lineman is LET GO. Either he's backside and he wont matter, or another lineman, or the FB is supposed to reach him, while the gaurd or tackle goes to the 2nd level to get a block on a LB. It happens ALL the time if u know football. If your only football experience is through games and NFL network than i could see where u would get confused.

edit: in the case of that play the FB missed his block, the lineman went to the 2nd level and got a block just like he was supposed to, and the FB, who is prob Arizonas worst offensive players missed his assignment completely.

I don't watch his videos anymore, because I don't want him ruining the game for me.
I spend time playing and enjoying the game, not nitpicking it to death.
I know Madden isn't perfect, but name one game (regardless of genre) that is perfect.

a flat out idiot,

the Guard may be going for a block on the linebacker, but in a defensive scheme like that, where the tackle is right on the Guards nose, he isn't going to let him go and squeeze past to grab a linebacker. O line is going to make checks and realign themselves to block correctly.

This does happen all the time, especially on counters and plays where the guard has to pull from the opposite side, and it's one of my few real problems with the game, It really killed it for me in 09, and they've yet to fix it. I understand it's not something that's going to be fixed in a year, but it's been a problem since 07, and if anything, It's progressively gotten worse.

This is on top of the fact that in this situation, the Guard wouldn't be asked to go to the second level, the Center would, instead of doing that, The Center blocks the Nose tackle, which really messing everything up in the first place.

Blocking logic in this game has constantly been piss poor, and I'm starting to think it'll never get better.

I know exactly what you're saying. Some people bitch without knowing why they bitch. Just like this guy in the video. He knows nothing about the intricacies of blocking schemes and thinks that pointing out one missed block that he thinks is a glitch covers all missed blocks due to a bad glitch.

Scheme is flawed, and technique is crap of the fullback. Also when has 'Zona become an I-Form running team? They use mostly single back or shotgun formations. They setup the run using the pass. I doubt the fullback on that team is even a blocking back. Aside from Nukleopatra, can someone name the fullback of the Cards?

The Steelers are made to run the ball.....all they freakin do is run the ball. O-Line run block stats are incredible.

The only thing I don't like about this idiot's vids is that he can't even use simple english grammar. Its not that hard to say "why does ea do this?" instead of "why do ea do this?" He also takes a half an hour to explain his goddamned point, which can easily be explained in 1 minute. Moron.

On one of the plays the guard was actually doing what a real NFL guard would do by pulling and letting the dt free .. I know for a fact that Indy do this sort of thing ALOT on there run plays . It is still a pretty flawed system but showing videos of well ran plays at times and passing them off as mistakes hardly gets a good point across to anybody. Also the Cards ran the ball alot more (still passed more) in the playoffs to set up the pass , some even credit it for why they suddenly picked up form .

And the Steelers actually were an average team this season at running the ball if i'm not mistaken . Parker and Mendenhall's injuries could be credited for this somewhat though.

The play would have been successful if the fullback had made the block. You think you've exposed some glitch because they ran a complex blocking scheme.
