Yes I did recruit four 2 star defensive ends and six cornerbacks. They're weak spots on my team and I was fortunate to get some talented corners and d-lineman. I'm hoping in the offseason recruiting phase I can get some o-line depth and another QB, as Kiel is graduating and i'm losing a lot of firepower on offense.

Talk about my season

 

Just like the 2012 season, I started off flat against Big Ten teams, with the exception of Minnesota, which they came out extremely flat on offense, no coordination what-so-ever and threw 5 interceptions and I quickly put the game out of reach, my only win against a high ranked opponent compared to me.

My offense had a share of injuries, a couple games into the season I lost starting RB C.Dukes for six weeks, giving the work-load back to Greene, and he didn't disappoint with another 1000+ yard season, and when Dukes came back from injury, he obtained 1000+ yards as well. My passing game was great, Kiel was able to thread the needle unlike Gillett, and came up with 3000+ passing yards and 28 TDs. My offensive line held their blocks all season, and Kiel was sacked under two times a game, which for me...is nice.

#8th for Total Offense (5563), 11th in Passing Offense (3043), and 37th in Rushing Offense (2530)

My defense wasn't as good this year compared to last..it seems to me. No defensive line pressure forced my secondary to make more plays, and at times..it worked, but others their in-experience and just bone-head moves made easy and simple plays turn into disasters.

Yeah that is why I stopped my FIU dynasty. I had done 10 or 11 seasons and things were only getting better, but I got to that point where I felt there was nothing left to accomplish. I had won two NCs, 6 or 7 conference titles, and the past few years consistently had a top 10 recruiting class. At first, I wanted to get a head coaching job at a bigger school, but with what I did at FIU and the incoming and on the rise talent that I had, (I had a sophomore HB who was top 5 in the nation in rushing and QB #2 from last year's recruiting class who was redshirting his freshman year and probably going to start next year) there probably weren't too many better schools that I could have gone too.

So. Fucking. Close. Lost to Bama 20-14 in Bama for my last regular season game. Would've been in the NC with a win and then a Big 12 Championship game win which would have been an easy game. My QB threw 5 picks, it was awful.

Most of my guys are returning, so I guess my quest for a title continues. This next season will be my best shot anyways. Best offense and best defense that I've had. I'm losing 4 WRs after this upcoming season and some o-lineman. My defense is steadily improving and will be my best side of the ball after this season.

#7 Rushing Offense! My starting RB, SR(RS) Javonti Greene got injured for 5 weeks, so my SO(RS) backup got the ball and he broke some records!

After being in this thread, I can't be bothered to get into massive chises, where the first page of information is about every stat the person has got in the history of their video game career. I feel "more into" the chises on here then I do when people make huge ones. Guess because people actually talk about them in this thread, where as when I did my PITT one, it just seemed as if I posted non-stop, and no one ever said a word. Got boring not having real talk.

Different strokes for different folks. I'm assuming this was a shot at my dynasty, on which I list all of my records (not every stat) because some people might find it interesting. I've had people marvel that I actually have those stats and can use them in context in my game reports.

The front page reporting is there to give people a recap of what's happened so far, rather than having to sort through a ton of pages. When I just jump into someone's dynasty after they've been posting a few years, I can't get into it. Seeing some recaps up front help give me a sense of what's going on - and an idea of how legit the 'nasty is.

My dynasty reports generally have had a fairly high number of views relative to others, so I'm comfortable with my format.

Edit: Shit! I've got 591 posts on this site? I forgot all about it. I saw a trackback from this forum on my dynasty thread and had to defend my fine, fine 'nasty!

Yeah, a BDawg cameo is nice to see. The defensiveness is unwarranted though. Most of us were big time followers of your 'chises on MM. You and Helli were pretty much the only two I kept with.

If anything, this thread is just a testament to how lazy VSNers are as a whole, and our preference for microwaved dynasty reports.

Thanks. I had totally forgotten about this board. I plan to do a dynasty in NCAA '13 (or just do NCAA '12 again, as I seem to be getting competitive games and don't want to mess with slider testing). Just not sure where I'll post it. DSS is decent, but not really active right now - but perhaps that's natural this time of year. I miss MM ... a lot.

Because the MAC conference is so bad, even though my team is pretty shitty overall, we won the conference in my 4th year as head coach. We got stomped by Iowa in our bowl game.

Going into the 2015 season I, as the Offensive Coordinator, had no idea who my starting QB was going to be and spent the first 3 games deciding. Within those 3 I got killed by Miami and bearly smug beat Baylor smug.

We are currently 10-1 and steam rolling the MAC. I finally have a decent recruiting class, but my offensive line is seriously the worst I have ever seen. Lots of 60's and like 1 low 70 overall.

Well we finished 11-3 with a bullshit loss in OT in the MAC championship game and a blowout loss to Michigan in our bowl game.

Currently in season 2017 and we are 3-0 and just upset #6 Cal. I have some awesome weapons on offense and my defense has been doing pretty good. Hopefully they don't blow any games this year.
