NCAA Dynasty Update Thread

FIU doesn't have much history. They started playing in 2002. Mario Cristobal is starting to turn things around, and they are at least respectable now.

That is kind of one of the reasons I picked them because they were a very new school, so at least in my head, anything I do with them is new and starts a new trend. I have already thought about what I am going to do after this season and if I will try going to another school. But I am getting attached to the team and am thinking I may stay on with them for atleast a few seasons. I think if I get them into a 3 star school I will most likely move them into the ACC or Big East.

I am already thinking of going to a new playbook depending on the RB I get next season. Our biggest downfall is we have zero running unless the QB is breaking free for a huge run, or the RB by chance picks up a block. So far, I think he has had one long TD run and besides that, maybe 15 yards is his longest.

Right now i'm in week 7 and I have FAU at 4-0, the run game is where it's at with them, I'm averaging around 175-190 yards / game rushing and close to the same passing.

Not looking too good in Logan right now. When I first got there they had the worst recruiting class in the nation. I managed to bring it to 117th. Heading int the season we only had 6 players in top five interest, 20 in top ten. The first two weeks we played @ Wazzu and home to Utah. We lost by a combined score of 73-17. I was using the Utah State playbook, and that wasn't working too well. I switched to the LSU playbook. It worked much better. We lost 27-21 @ SDSU, but the offense was much better. We are going to Fort Collins this week, and I think we have a real good shot to get our first win.

That feeling about getting our first win was right. Ended up getting a 17-9 victory over Colorado State. The score isn't impressive, but it felt a lot better. Our best player Robert Turbin was knocked out with a concussion, but that didn't change anything. Our backup RB Robert Marshall balled out. He had 31 Att, 194 yards, and 2 TD. The PA game worked really well, because of the running game, and I got most of my passing yards off of PA. Offensive Line played great as well. We host North Texas this week before we go on a two week bye. We should be able to get past NT, and then we start conference play. The WAC looks really week, and I think I have a realistic shot of winning the WAC.

My Soph. #1 WR, Brandon Brady (5* recruit) diving for a ball before the Half...landed at the 4 yard line. Went into the Half down by 6, but lost in a blow out to #2 OSU.

2 year MLB starter, Terry Gray (4* recruit). He was my 1st pink diamond recruit. Picked Kent St. over Stanford & Washington.

I just played what was undoubtedly the most fucking frustrating game of my video game life. I have never cursed more or thrown more shit over a video game in my life. I lost to #5 Oklahoma, in Oklahoma 33-30. My quarterback managed to throw 6 interceptions and miss countless open receivers. My pass defense was lights fucking out. I mean any time they had to throw, we were shutting them down. I picked their QB off 4 times. My defense was exhausted and two guys I had never even seen on the field all year had 2 of the 4 picks. But still, the pass defense played amazing. They kept me in the game by having two of the picks returned inside their 10 and us scoring off them.

However it was their god damn, uppity ass, fucking bullshit, NCAA shenanigan exploiting running back that did me in. He busted two long runs for touchdowns. Than on 3rd down and 4 with a 1:20 left in the 4th, with me having no time outs left, they run a toss and I had fucking have him. I mean I've got three guys right there, two of are wrapping him up and what the fuck does that bastard do? He somehow does this spinning break the tackle move and gets the first, game over.

I will have this game circled on my schedule next season. I will be merciless.

In the midst of a down year. I don't want to talk about it, but I lost to Kentucky last night to fall out of the top 25 completely. Kentucky is a solid team at B+ overall, but they were 1-3 coming into the contest and we beat them 49-0 the previous year (SEC Championship game). Once again the offense pooped the bed, this time going without even a touchdown. Final score was 10-6, and we went 1-11 on 3rd downs. Need to find some offensive consistency ASAP. My sophomore QB is going through the definition of a sophomore slump, averaging only 150 yards per game and 5 TDs and 6 INTs on the year.

Crap, I said I didn't want to talk about it and now I'm talking about it ...

I followed up our Stanford loss with another disappointing performance on the road at Washington in a 24-6 loss.

We rebounded with a 41-9 win over Arizona though. I have the Notre Dame and UCLA games left. I am pretty pissed with how this season went down. I can definitely see not having my contract extended...I'm guessing I will have to take a job at a lower-tier school for my next post. Year 1 we were 7-6 with a Las Vegas Bowl win and this year I am currently 6-3 with 2 really ugly losses (Stanford and Washington).

Big test coming up, hosting #7 Florida (5-0). Need this one to get back to .500. A loss would drop me to 2-4 and 1-2 in the conference.

Was on a five game winning streak until we played Idaho. We couldn't develop a running game, and we made too many mistakes. Lost 21-14. We're now sitting at 5-4, but we still control our destiny in the WAC. We now go on the road for three straight games to close the season, including a trip to Bozeman to play Montana State, who is currently undefeated in the WAC.

Well it is a sad day when I have to report that Cannon, the man, the myth.......is out for the rest of the season (5 games remaining). Complete ACL tear is the culprit.

Licata has his job back and went 6/8, 1 TD after Cannon went down. We are sitting at 7-1 and managed to beat ohio even after Cannon went down, because of my beast RB.

Cannon finished with these stats through 8 games:106/176, 2287 yards, 27 TD's, 7 INT's, 60% completion.

He will be missed.

Talk about an up-and-down season! We lost to Notre Dame 42-25. Beat UCLA 38-14 and then faced Oregon in the Pac-12 Title Game and won 38-28! Meaning, at 9-4, we go to a BCS bowl!

RB Dillon Baxter won the Heisman with 2,095 rush yds, 19 TDs, 27 rec, 195 yds, 2 TDs.

We are in the Rose Bowl against Penn State.

90 THA is killer. He can pretty much place a ball where he wants using TCP.

Oh boy here comes the debacle of my last 5 games.

Got out played on both sides of the ball (besides my running game, 150 yds, 2 TD's.)

My passing game without Cannon? A combined 10/24, 187 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT with Licata and Petty(freshman).

:smh: Sitting at 7-2, 3-2 in the MAC which has pretty much put me out of the conference championship talks.

Ended up finishing 9-4 with a blow out loss to the U, Miami, 41-15. Combined 4 interceptions in that game and I ran for a whopping 50 yards. Woohoo.

Cannon was missed sorely, that is for sure. Something tells me he will be out for vengeance next season. 12-0 here I come. MAC championship or bust.

Garrett Reed, freshman RB, ran for 1429 yards on 210 carries and 15 TD. He broke the record for my school for yards in a season. Beast mode. He struggled the last 3 or so games with various injuries and shit play, though.

Jimmy Gordon, Junior TE, had 48 receptions for 701 yards and 4 TD. Huge 3rd down converter for me. Melvin Crowell, Freshman WR, had 44 catches for 1156 yards and 13 TD.

Quick little update of my last three games:

- Lost the game to Florida 21-14, am now 2-4 and 1-2 in conference. The offense once again shit the bed.

- Just when I think it can't get any worse, I beat #24 Mississippi State 31-15, but it costs me Jarvis Cronin for the season. He tore his pectoral and will miss 11 weeks. It's possible he is back for the bowl game but it's not looking good. Heartbreaking end to his career if this is it. Was on pace for a 1600 yard season and possibly eclipsing 3000 career yards.

- Sitting at 3-4 and down to my backup running backs, #19 Auburn comes in to Baton Rouge with a 7-1 record and sitting on top of the SEC West. Once again my passing game was nonexistent, but it didn't matter because of a dominant performance by the defense, who only surrendered 124 total yards, forced six turnovers, and pitched a shut out.

I held the ball for almost the entire 4th quarter thanks to the ground game and turnovers. After I capped a five-minute drive with a field goal to make it 24-0, they fumbled it right back on their next possession. Ended up scoring again to close the deal at 31-0. In his first start, my sophomore RB (88 OVR) went for 99 yards on 24 carries and 4 TDs. This one feels really good after the last few weeks.
