College football is better than pro IMO. I usually play NCAA more than Madden just because I love Notre Dame and I enjoy building NMSU into a powerhouse. This game however is so flawed and broken I'm gonna trade it in towards Madden. Maybe next year NCAA, but definitely not on launch day.

This is where I love not being a huge football gamer and just casual, because I hardly notice anything. My current season is playing well with close games. Can't complain. Of course with NHL in about two weeks, NCAA is just a put in and play.

Here is a word of advice...set NCAA down, trade it in for NHL or FIFA for your sports game fix.

I have a feeling that even if this patch comes in the next month or so, there will still be shit to fix and they won't fix it considering most of the crew is working on next year's game already.

I'm using Matt10's Heisman Sliders over from OS. They're on Heisman, and set to very slow with 0 speed threshold. I like them quite a bit in my first five games.

The psychic D for me on Heisman and apparently its inability to be controlled with sliders killed me wanting to play on it.

What are you seeing?

Here is a word of advice...set NCAA down, trade it in for NHL or FIFA for your sports game fix.

I have a feeling that even if this patch comes in the next month or so, there will still be shit to fix and they won't fix it considering most of the crew is working on next year's game already.

I'm too much of a football geek to do that I fear. If the patch doesn't fix the freezing issues it's getting traded in for FIFA

The Madden demo had me intrigued but the franchise mode seems to have a lot of warts.

I'm playing a good around dynasty right now...but the game will be traded in...probably for NHL, but I might roll with FIFA this year...never been a FIFA player, but I hear the game is the goods, so, I might try something new.

Nah not surprised. I haven't bought Madden since about 2004 or 2005.

I'm getting FIFA no matter what but not sure what I'll end up doing on the whole Madden/NCAA thing. I found NCAA used at Gamestop so I'm not out a bunch of money....

What are you seeing?

I'm ok with the overall picture right now, six games in. Gilbert has thrown for 1,283 yards, 14 touchdowns, and one pick, completing 50% of his passes. So turning up CPU picks is something I might do. Whittaker is averaging 5.7 yards on the ground, and has rushed for 855 yards and seven TDs. The running game is too easy, so I'm trying to tweak my run blocking. My o-line has allowed 19 sacks, which is near the bottom of the league...but I'm ok with that. I have a junior and two sophomores starting, and my highest-rated o-lineman is senior David Snow at center, who is 88 OVR. So I feel like giving up just north of three sacks per game is ok. The pressure frustrates me sometimes, but I feel it's realistic.

Defensively, I'm frustrated. I have allowed more passing yards than any other team, but have also allowed the fewest rushing yards. I also lead the league with 27 sacks and 13 interceptions. I tweaked my sliders for my last game, and recorded just two sacks and no picks, so I feel like it's a lot better now. Their runningback also had 111 yards on 24 carries.

It's a work in progress, but I'm enjoying the game so far.

You know what is fun, breaking out ps2 and playing older versions of the game that in many ways superior to current gen games.

What I like doing is playing say ncaa 06 using Ohio State, and try and recruit players close to the actual real life players on the team since then.

Brought in the 26th ranked class for Cal. Pretty stocked at every position now, with people ready to take over next year. Not sure if I'll sign on for another 2 year stint, I think I should be able to get some decent mid major interested as a HC next

I decided to play my offline dynasty last night for the first time in ages. Actually it's the first time I've played the game in probably a week. I forgot how much I hated the CPU and how they intercept EVERY pass that comes close to them. I started off a great game with Crist throwing a few passes for big gains and Wood having some nice runs. Then I make one mad pass and of course the LB intercepts even though his hands and catch rating are crazy low. Then my next possession they pick me again. I restarted and my first throw? Pick of course. Yet during that time I counted five passes that were right in my DB's hands and they either dropped it or swatted it. Fucking bullshit.

And can someone tell me how to do recruiting visits? It says that that a couple of my targets are scheduled for visits in my current recruiting week but when I click on them the only thing I can do is call them?

If they are already scheduled to come to your University that week....calling them should be the only thing you can do. Do you have the CPU aiding you in recruits visiting, if so, the game will schedule the visit? If the game says they are ready to visit your University, you should be able to set them up to visit your school during one of your future Home games (unless you have CPU help on).
