I will definitely be expanding Scott's role. He really seems to be a diamond in the rough. He plays a lot better than his rating.

We need an upgrade at back-up QB in the worst way. That will definitely be a priority in the off-season.

Bengals.com reports that the team has re-signed WR Jerome Simpson to a one-year deal worth $850k. Simpson, a 2nd year player from Coastal Carolina, was released from the team on the final cut down date in the preseason. Despite being signed just the day before a game, the 6-2 199 pound wideout is expected to play in the team's week four contest at Cleveland as he is already familiar with the Bengals' playbook.

Bengals.com reports that the Cincinnati Bengals have moved rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga (78 overall) to middle linebacker where he will take the place of MLB Dhani Jones (75 overall). Through four games, Jones has just 5 tackles while Mauluga has 12 tackles from the SAM position. Linebacker Reshad Jeanty (74 overall) will take Maualuga's place at SAM.

Another tough loss. 41-7 deficit at half is pretty much impossible to overcome. Scott is a playmaker though. He just keeps on making plays for you. Palmer is really struggling with the interceptions - I wonder what affect, if any, this will have on his progression.

You've got another tough defense to face in week 5. Hopefully, something can happen for you to get the momentum swining in your direction.

Looking forward to Maualuga moving to the MIKE as well!

Bengals | WR Coles a late scratch

Bengals.com reports that the Cincinnati Bengals have benched WR Laveranues Coles (87 overall) for their week five match-up against Baltimore and he has been moved to the bottom of the team's depth chart at receiver. Coles has struggled this season, catching just 4 passes for 42 yards through four games this year, his first season in Cincinnati. No direct reason was given for the benching but it has been speculated that it is performance related. There are also reports that Coles is in coach Marvin Lewis' "doghouse" for his low production and inability to catch-on to the team's playbook. He will be replaced in the lineup by WR Antonio Chatman (59 overall), who has 16 catches for 207 yards this season. Coles is the fourth Bengal starter to be benched following the team's 0-4 start.

Bengals play inspired football but fall to 0-5 after 38-24 loss at Baltimore | Ravens' D scores twice providing winning margin | Bengals defense unable to get stop when it mattered most​

The Cincinnati Bengals rallied late but in the end fell to the Baltimore Ravens 38-24 Sunday in Baltimore. Ravens FB Le'Ron McClain's 3-yard touchdown run with just under two minutes to play put the game away for Baltimore, who improved their record to 4-1.

The story for the Bengals was the same: offensive turnovers. WR Chad Ochocinco's first quarter fumble resulted in a 50-yard touchdown return by Ravens CB Chris Carr which made the score 7-0. RB Bernard Scott fumbled later in the game and it was returned 24 yards for a score by SS Dawan Landry which gave the Ravens a 24-10 third quarter advantage.

Cincinnati climbed back into the game when TE Chase Coffman, making the first start of his career, converted a 15-yard pass into a spectacular 76-yard touchdown in which he stiff armed two Ravens defenders on his way to the score which made it a 31-17 game.

Late in the fourth quarter, Bengals CB David Jones intercepted Joe Flacco and returned it 65 yards for a score to make it a one touchdown game at 31-24 and the Bengals sideline became as spirited as they've been all year long. The excitement was tempered however when a 9-play Ravens drive on their following possession resulted in McClain's back-breaking touchdown run.

Cincinnati (0-5) will host Houston (2-3) next week on the road.

Dang you cant get either side the ball going on a consistent basis. Atleast my defense has been decent all year, Maualuga even leads the leagues in tackles. Hopefully you can figure something out, we dont need a repeat of the 2008 Lions.

Rey is a beast. I inserted him in at MIKE this past game and he absolutely dominated.

Another tough loss. 41-7 deficit at half is pretty much impossible to overcome. Scott is a playmaker though. He just keeps on making plays for you. Palmer is really struggling with the interceptions - I wonder what affect, if any, this will have on his progression.

You've got another tough defense to face in week 5. Hopefully, something can happen for you to get the momentum swining in your direction.

Bernard Scott has been a pleasant surprise. He has 468 all-purpose yards this year and seems to be finding a groover in the running game. Some guys just outplay others despite their rating...which is something I really like about this game.
