KU barely escaped with a win over UCLA tonight after a bullshit foul put them on the line to win a tied ballgame. KU won their 64th straight at home and the refs obviously had money on KU or got incredible blow jobs from the student section.

K-State pulled out an ugly one at Washington State tonight. Good god Frank Martin was just rotating players in like it was a fucking exhibition game. Just glad we got out of there with the W.

Georgetown surprisingly blew out Utah St, and did it by only hitting one 3 pointer, which is flat out shocking. Hoyas are 8-0 with 3 resume wins already:

-NC St on a neutral floor
-Mizzou on the road
-Utah St at home

Still play Memphis & Temple before the brutal Big East schedule.

So far, how you think this year's hoya team stacks up with last years?

They are better without Monroe.

The chemistry is outstanding, and guys like Hollis Thompson & Henry Sims have taken huge leaps and gotten much better. Jason Clark is playing out of his mind, on the same level as Chris Wright and Austin Freeman. They are the best shooting team in the country.

Weakness is size. They start four G's, with Julian Vaughn the only big, and he's just barely above average. They will also have games where the 3's won't fall, and won't be able to just switch over to street ball and out run teams like they did to Utah St.

Monroe's two years, in spite of all of those regular season wins, resulted in one NCAA Tournament game, and that was a loss. This is the first team JT3 has had that has the type of shooting and passing that his Princeton offense demands. The Hibbert/Green/Wallace team was a traditional NBA style team, and the Monroe teams were built around the big man. This is a vintage Princeton style team with NBA level talent. A lot of fun to watch.

RMU @ WVU going on right now. WVU had to be faggots and not give us any tickets for this game, hence why I'm still on campus.

RMU is without senior Gary Wallace, who has a broken finger, and junior Lawrence Bridges, who has a concussion. That limits the Colonials' depth from 10 deep to 8, and also makes the only active players freshmen or sophomores.

West Virginia 82, Robert Morris 49

It was a real close game in the first half, but WVU's size really just took over in the second. When Deon Turman plays meaningful minutes, you know you're fucked.

Karon Abraham was rusty as hell off of suspension and leading scorer Russell Johnson was terrible all game. We're going to need Bridges and Wallace back soon (particularly Bridges) because we're already undersized, but without him to come off the bench, we're horrid inside.

Going to my first Texas A&M game this year, as they host Prairie View A&M.

I'm very excited about Saturday, when Washington comes to town. That game should be a lot of fun.

I'm very excited about Saturday, when Washington comes to town. That game should be a lot of fun.

TAMU survived a scare vs Prairie View A&M tonight.

PVAM jumped out to an 8-0 lead, which prompted Mark Turgeon to clear his bench and do wholesale subs 3 minutes into the game. Ouch.

Later in the half, with the starters back in, PVAM went on another run, so Turgeon cleared the bench again. Double ouch.

TAMU went up double digits in the second half, before a big run cut the lead to 3. They ended up pulling away and winning by almost 30, but belive me, it was a lot closer than the score, and Reed Arena was a bit tense.

TAMU isnt very good. Not much size, no go to scorer, and they are in danger of missing the tournament for the first time in many years. I think they hold the longest current streak in the nation for consecutive years with a tournament win.

They were picked 6th pre-season in the Big 12. I can't remember who they have coming back right now, but I don't think they're that good either.

Complaining about the refs...before the game even begins, that's a new low, even by my standards of complaining about officiating.

Potential huge blow for the Blue Devils with Kyrie Irving's toe...might be 3-4 weeks, might be for the season. I'd let that thing REST...Duke doesn't face anyone worth of note until the tourney really...Smith slides to the point (his scoring seems to be affected when running the point) but he's been passing the ball well, leading the team in assists. Seth Curry, who's starting to come on will get more PT, and the best shooter in the nation, Andre Dawkins will log major minutes. Shall be interesting!
