Kind of. That is one of the benefits, plus you can get into betas like the DC Universe one, that others can't. You get hour long demos of a lot of games. You get discounts on a ton of shit from movies to games, etc. You also get a ton of free shit but you only get to keep that stuff for as long as you are a subscriber.
 
NHL Live is to hockey as MLB.tv is to baseball, if that makes any sense. You need to subscribe to the NHL's program to use it.

I just tried that Modern Combat: Domination game. I must say for $8 (ONLY $6 for PS+ members) it's pretty damn sweet. I only played with bots though so I can't really judge actual multiplayer but it's a solid game. It seems like a combination of CoD and SOCOM. There are rounds and no respawning (unless you can chance the option) like SOCOM but the shooting, look and controls are very CoD. My only gripe this early on would be how many bullets it takes to kill an enemy.

Headshots FTW. Not to mention there are guys running around with up to 100% health and armor bonuses.

I messed around with the 45 minute trial. Solid shooter, but BC2 and MAG are enough FPSs for me right now (even for the low price).

Yeah, I did notice headshots are the way to go. And the armor thing would make sense because I did see that stat pop up during the two times I was killed by bots.

It's just like SOCOM. Every life is important. If you die you have to wait until the next round. And again like SOCOM in one round you might be defending a missile and another round you are trying to plant the launch code on the missile. Shit like that.

There may be a way to turn on respawns but I have no idea.

If you ask me, no online co-op (in games that allow for co-op) and unlimited respawning completely render games useless to me.

According to the Gamefaqs boards there are two matchtypes that offer respawn, Team Deathmatch and Domination. The rest of the modes are no respawn.

I'm definitely going to pick it up. For $6?!? No brainer. The game has 72 levels for chrissakes.
