I agree, but that's not what I said. I would've been okay with a one year bowl ban which still punishes players unfairly. However, four years? That's telling a freshman he'll never play in a post season game if he doesn't have the option to go to a new school.
It is the dealth penalty.
If he was recruited by Penn State he will have the option to go else where.
Loss of scholarships is the biggest penalty they received. Coaches care more about schollies than bowl games.
I have no problem with bowl ban. The amount of players that they are going to lose won't make a bowl anyway.
