Should Michael Vick be allowed to play in the NFL again?

Doubt it.. unless Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace both went down..

Our future will likely be centered around the 2010 draft.. as we have two first round picks next year.. Denver's and our own. No matter what transpires during the season, if we want a QB.. we'll get one in April.

The reason I think Vick should be reinstated is because of the action the NFL took in conjunction with the legal system. The NFL actually suspended Vick while he was in jail. The NFL took action while Vick was in jail. Vick has been suspended already for a total of I think 33 games really, two full seasons and 1 Atlanta Falcons playoff game.

I understand the logic and respect that opinion. I just disagree with it. The league suspension did nothing because MV was legally unable to be in those games. So it was the legal system that kept him from playing. So my OPINION, and it's just on opinion, is that there should be some kind of significant debt paid to the league. Goodell will make the decision, and he should. That's what he gets paid for. And I'm OK with whatever Goodell decides.

One thing that is getting mistaken a lot also is that I said I think Stallworth's suspension should be longer than Vick and it should to me. Taking human life is the worse thing in the world one can do in my opinion and Stallworth took life through his negliegence.

You are still ignoring some of the events that lead to the accident. To say that Stallworth TOOK life through negligence, you have to prove that it was Sallworth's negligence that caused the loss of life. This guy was not in a cross walk. He didn't have a white walk light. He ran out onto a busy highway to try and catch a bus he was late for. Who'se negligence actually caused the accident? That needs to be determined before making the statement you made.

It was years ago, that a deer ran out in front of me on a highway. Now this deer was not in a cross walk, and it didn't have a white walk light. If the deer had been, I would have clearly been at fault.

I hit the breaks, but there was no way to stop in time, or to avoid it. And I was perfectly sober.

If this guy ran out into traffic and was hit, then he couldn't have been too far from the oncoming traffic. I would want to see a police report and what eye-witnesses have to say before stating whose negligence actually caused the accident.

He should be allowed back. Leave it in the hands of the GMs/owners and whether or not they want a player like Vick on their team.. but he should have the opportunity.

One last thing you can not compare a Deer to this sitation. Like I said results matter. Hitting a Deer while drunk is not Vehicular and Intoxication Manslaughter.

Hit a human being while drunk is Vehicular and Intoxication Manslaughter.

There is a huge deference because of the result of the illegal action.

I wasn't trying to compare deer vs human. I was just trying to show drinking may not have had anything to do with the cause of the accident. It surely didn't have anything to do with me hitting the deer, since I was completely sober.

I don't drink (at all) and I don't want to be easy on drunk drivers, but I also don't want to be unfair, and unjust.
