The 2011 Tim Tebow Tracking Thread

Cam's number padding in blowout losses in the easiest offensive environment in the history of the league impresses me not.

You keep saying this... and yet Cam isn't padding his numbers in blowout losses. The Panthers have been competitive in most of their games this season, and the ones they weren't competitive in didn't see Cam racking up big stats late in those blowout losses. And just an FYI... Tebow is playing in that same offensive environment.

As far as the actual topic goes, this year has made me into a big time Timmy Tebow fan. He's an outstanding leader, teammate, and is proving himself to be a damn fine quarterback.

Yup. My father-in-law actually calls the Panthers the "best worst team in the NF:" and I couldn't agree more. I also think that while Tebow will get a lot better, Newton is much better than Tebow. Seeing some of the throws that Cam makes is just amazing. And he has the same, if not better ability to run.

I've been saying this after every game. Instead of forcing bad throws like most rookies, Tebow tries to create plays by buying time with his legs or just running. And yet people criticize him for it. It amazes me. Should he be forcing throws for interceptions?

He has been everything you'd want from somebody at his level of development and plenty more. He progresses every single week, and actually looked like a pretty good player last week in what I think was one of his better games. It's unbelievable what some people say about his performance.. let the poor kid enjoy his dream of playing in the NFL at least :smh:

I didn't watch the game today, but wow @ Tebow's statline. 4 INT's (2 of them being pick-6's) is pretty bad.

He looked like absolute shit today after they fell behind.

I don't see how he will ever be a great NFL QB when it's obvious that he cannot beat a defense through the air.

Obviously, if you make him one dimensional then he's going to struggle, but that is easier said than done.

Just looked at his stats and he was completing 48% of his passes before today's game and he has only played 5 teams above .500.

If he can improve his accuracy then he can become great but I just don't see it happening.

He can obviously win and compete, but the Broncos would need to build a Pittsburgh Steeler-esque type of team around him in order to compete for Super Bowls, which is what I would try to do if I were John Elway.

Tebow was doing good for 1st part of the game, but Mike McCoy is a moron. Tebow starts out 3/4 and a denver td on the 1st drive and then McCoy calls nothing but run plays for rest of the half
