Absolutely agree.
To me, wrestling is entertainment. Its fun to watch and something to do. But trying to convince someone who doesn't see the entertainment value that it is indeed entertaining isn't going to work. There is a difference between someone who doesn't find it entertaining but understands how and why someone else does, and someone who just doesn't get how anything about it is entertaining.

Cold blooded? The dude can never stay healthy. Hes like a walking China doll. He had it coming..
Was just starting to like Kennedy, too. But he cannot stay healthy. Apparently it wasn't just the wrist injury, but also that he nearly seriously hurt Orton with a botched suplex or back drop. I'm a bit surprised that they wouldn't keep him around in another role, given how well he can talk.

Which is probably what the E thought of his whole career. I dont really have any sympathy for Kennedy.. he was given a half dozen chances and could never take advantage. The WWE did everything it could to push him into being a star.

Now I'm going to have to look at Mr. Kennedy like Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley and countless others who got decent-to-monster pushes and then disappeared just as quickly.

I can certainly understand them not wanting to keep waiting on him as a wrestler. But guys who are really good on the mic are getting rare in the WWE. Kennedy is pretty damned good. They need commentators after Tazz left. It seems so simple - move him into a commentator role! He's popular, so fans will likely like it.
Releasing him outright makes me think there may have been more to it. Even if it was just that they offered him the chance to commentate and he turned it down.

OK, he has some charisma and mic skills.
But this idea that he could be the next Steve Austin was ridiculous. His body of work never even remotely resembled Stone Cold's.
At best, Kennedy was an injury-prone upper mid-carder who got pushed because of that great intro.
Yeah, he may end up on TNA, but like all the rest who left the WWE, it won't matter. Angle, Booker T, Mick Foley, Christian, etc... did nothing to make the WWE quiver.
