Running out to the ring, he's showered in his own merch PLUS a big gold belt that a LOT of nerds buy replicas of to show off at the shows.

Before he jumps in to do his schtick, he's handing out shirts/hats/wristbands that will inevitably be lost before the end of the night so parents/superfans will hit up the merch tables before that leave...

Hell, BEFORE he even goes out for his segment, there's hundreds of Cena fans already wearing the shit his ugly mug is selling on the online shop and in the magazine.

...what corporate boss isn't looking for a guy like him to be the face of the company?

Kayfabe aside, dude is 00's-2010's Hogan the way he pimps all the stuff you see fans wear and show up on camera with.

If HHH didn't like him personally on business alone, Cena'd be paid to lie flat on his back for NXT Rookies every night.

Moreover with Daniel Bryan winning what I'd assume is a shoot vote and having crowds consistently cheering him and almost universally so, I wonder if now is the time to finally move Cena to something different and have Bryan take over as the big face. Dunno, we've called it for years but this is one of the heaviest foreshadows I've ever seen. Those camera shots of the corporate group standing over a fallen Orton weren't an accident.

How many times have we, as fans, thought they were THIS CLOSE to pulling the trigger on Cena as some sort of heel...yet, its back to business as usual.

With that said...Cena's promos, two weeks in a row...FLAWLESS. This one, you could tell he switched it up on the fly as the crowd was shitting on Orton. Cena, when he wants to, a real #treat on the mic.

You have to wonder how much those promos actually bother Randy Orton because they are extremely accurate. Cena is basically shitting on Orton for being the human being that he is.

He'll crack a few fart and poop jokes and no sell any and all effects of a verbal beatdown and then ask you to put your dirty gym clothes in the right basket.

Cena would have thrived in the pre scripted era. He's better when he lets loose on his own.

The Rock is a great promo, but always heavily scripted. His delivery & timing is second to nobody though. And having more natural charisma than all but .001% of guys all time helps.

What does Orton do exceptionally well aside look the part?

It's a heavy foreshadow, but I'm still in the camp of "believe it when I see it." I still don't trust all of this to be a ploy to get buys on the PPV. It's the end of the year, people are putting money towards gifts, and the past string of PPVs have been average at best. Great build at the end, definitely has me purchasing if I am home from my work party, but I'm not expecting a Cena heel turn, nor am I expecting the titles to be unified.
