According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, John Cena stood tall at the end of the Halloween episode of RAW after taking care of R-Truth and The Miz, because WWE didn't want him getting beat up three weeks in a row. Cena was laid out the week before, and the plan for the November 7th RAW was to see Cena get get beat by The Miz & R-Truth. But WWE felt that three weeks in a row of Cena being on the losing end would make him appear weaker as they try to build to Survivor Series.

Vince lost his way some time ago. The WWF, back in the 80's, would have never done a fraction of the illogical shit that you see on a week to week basis that you see now. I think it's a combination of producing 6 hours of new content per week and less & less influence of Pat Patterson over the years. Vince is surrounded by smart wrestling people like Michael Hayes, Dusty Rhodes (well, maybe not Dusty), a million agents, etc, and i'm sure thee guys know that stuff like this is retarded and goes against booking 101, but they aren't going to challenge Vince. Vince would listen to Patterson. Go look at those 80's storylines, they were for the most part perfectly constructed.

I always say it, Vince has left more money on the table than any millionaire ever.

According to DAVE MELTZER , there is a lot of controversy involving the suspension of Evan Bourne due to a wellness violation. Bourne failed the wellness test for synthetic marijuana (Spice) which was placed on the banned list several months ago. WWE wrestlers were using the synthetic drug in order to avoid paying the $2,500 fine that comes with marijuana failures. While most seem to think that taking the $2,500 fine would be simpler, it becomes costly for lower card guys like Bourne and if you remember MVP's run in WWE where he was a mid/upper card guy, he was buried by WWE creative for multiple marijuana failures. The controversy with Bourne comes into play because Bourne smoked the drug at a party that several WWE stars attended. He was not the only person using the drug as a few main event talents were using as well yet didn't get suspended and a mid card talent who was caught during the wellness testing with Bourne was fined $2,500 for a marijuana failure yet was smoking the drug with Bourne.
