These ROH guys might have the right idea. 4-6 ROH shows per month, and they let you pretty much do whatever you want on your free dates.

ACH is on every fucking indie show on earth these days. If he were in TNA, there's a chance he'd be on Impact twice per month, and held hostage the rest of the time. It's a real risk.

I've often wondered why guys stick with TNA once they made this their policy. As you mentioned unless you're used on every show does that downside guarantee really outweigh what you'd get on indie dates? Is it just guys trying to get a little more stability in their life and not do the weekend warrior thing. I don't know. I'd love to ask someone who has worked for TNA, doesn't want to go back and won't have any qualms about giving numbers and actual facts about it.

Should have hired Heyman and gave him the piece of the pie when they approached him.

I think he was cock teasing them. He doesn't want to be associated with failure at this point, because he survived failure once already with his rep not only intact, but enhanced somehow because he's so great at marketing his image.

Unless they were willing to give him "the whole pie" as you put it, and make it an offer he couldn't refuse, he was not going to that cesspool where realistically they are always going to be so far behind as #2 that they are closer to ROH than they ever will be WWE.

Who can blame him. He has such a great gig now. Show up for TV & PPV, easy money, no stress.

Samoa Joe tears Bully apart, wins the belt and has a long ass reign wrestling AJ, Angle, Roode, Aries, etc.

Get the tag division going, push some if the best workers on the midcard and cut the bullshit, dedicate the year to doing nothing like WWE and boom.

If you fail, better off trying to establish your own distinct personality.

Serious question, for a guy like Joey Ryan, I can't imagine whatever low downside he was getting was worth more than the multitude of indie bookings he could have been taking this whole time. He was barely used on TV or at house shows, at least to my recollection. But being locked into a TNA deal cuts you off from any indie that does iPPV or DVD..which is most of them.

Maybe biss or somebody who is privy to what these TNA downsides are compared to taking 8-10 indie shots per month has more insight. But I think this is why you see guys pass on TNA and stay on the indies. The upside is national TV, obviously. But if you aren't used, you probably lose money.

TNA pulled TJ Perkins from a St.Louis Anarchy show last week, for example. He didn't work for TNA that night to my knowledge.

Joey much like Ares was done with wrestling it seemed when hey got his shot there, the plus to the downside is you know its there and being on TV you can demand more money o indy shots, you almost need someone else getting you dates to keep your booking full like a Chris Hero use too

Most of the guys I know, TNA was not actively looking at when they signed with the WWE, despite what the dirt sheets may have been reporting. Much more intrested in catching people coming down then moving up

Those are the confirmed talents released (Rayne is a different circumstance).

I do believe, with Hendrix, that would be ALL of the Gut Check winners and those involved being kicked to the curb, outside of Wes Brisco.

Crimson was trash.

They had something with Christian York. They failed him. The same can be said for Joey Ryan. Guy is a good character. Perfect curtain jerking advancement heel. While York was a solid mainstay type for the X-Division.

Meanwhile...they re-signed Taz.
