Sadly, I can see Otto Graham and Deacon Jones being much lower on the list, simply because more people probably voted for modern players vs the old. That's not saying they don't deserve to be up there though.

Why would it be annoying if Sanders cracked the top 10? He is consistantly among the top 3 in the argument of "Who is the best RB" alongside Brown and Payton and he is the most exciting player to ever play in the NFL.

I understand guys like Montana, Unitas, and Elway got that History that people seem to love so much. But if Brady is ranked better then Manning I'm changing the TV and never watching NFL Network again.

Manning can go anywhere from 7-15. If he won the SB last year Id wager he'd be top 5 on there list.

I agree Deacon/Otto may get bumped.

In order to put Sanders in you'd have to bump someone from 6-10. Id put Elway and Manning ahead of Sanders as well so I cant justify him in the top 10.
 
I wonder if this list will indeed have todays NFL players on it.

Also this list is not made up by fans but by I believe historians, coaches, personnel guys, scouts and guys like that so I don't think modern day players will be favored.

i have no doubt that brown will be #1. The trend going from older generations to todays generation of people feeling he is #1 does not seem to be swaying at all. Not to say that he doesnt deserve it because of what he did during his 9 year career.

I will say this, he has really tarnished his rep here in Cleveland for telling the team he will not attend their ring of honor ceremony. He is bitter about being given a reduced role under the holmgren regime. the guy is an egomaniac to say the least
 
Mel Hein, the ONLY center ever to win the MVP award, is also the only lineman to win it too. And he went to Wazzu :D

Im surprised to see Young so low.

I like the Marcus Allen bit. The Bo era wasted some peak years albeit it probably extended his career. Always thought Allen was under appreciated and Bo overrated.

Pretty sure I can name 100 active players better than Michael Strahan, let alone 100 ever.

Squeezing Joe Namath onto this at 100 is the equivilent of me squeezing Jake Roberts into my Top 100 Wrestlers at #100. Obviously he doesnt deserve it, but it's Joe Namath.
