(IMO) only one more Raven left and I think he is gonna be in the top 20...

Hoping for a Stover appearance though and I doubt J. Lew makes it.

There is only one game I can watch of LT so I'm a bit disappointed.

But I have watched Derrick Thomas a bunch. Very good against the run, good pass rusher and great if he's a stand up linebacker doing it. Can cover if you need him to. He should definitely be in the top 100 and I'm sure he will be. I love to watch Derrick Thomas.

When Thomas was hot. There was no passrusher ever as good. He wasnt really stout againt the run but he redirected plays and hurried QBs at insane rates. He came off the line faster than anyone Ive ever seen.

I was always amazed that his knees held up. Not sure I can recall a non interior lineman get that many guys trying to chopblock on every play. RBs would routinely just dive at his knees as he came around hoping to redirect him.

Yeah, he played Denver twice a year.

DT was too inconsistent for my taste. He would get his sacks in bunches. But it was weird...he could single-handedly destroy the best offenses in the NFL, then he'd do nothing against the worst team in the league.

I wouldn't put him in the top 100, but thats just my opinion. I probably have several older players that won't be on the list. Chuck Bednarik excelled on both offense and defense. Leo Nomellini is the only player to make the pro bowl at offensive tackle and defensive tackle. He was probably the best lineman of the 1950's. Frank Gifford made the pro bowl at three different positions (DB, HB, WR). I think these all-around players should be in the top 100 ahead of specialists like Derrick Thomas.

Best teams in the league at that time were also pass heavy and likely had PB QBs. The lesser teams didnt drop back as much or had offenses that really wouldnt change much avoiding a side. SD/Oak/Sea had lousy Split ends to begin.

But facts are facts he did disappear for long stretches. I think that level of dominance was so rare he has to be considered. Every top 100 guy having there best game IMO DT is the best passrusher of the group.

Strahan was probably the best all-around DE when he played. I wouldn't say he was dominant, though. Its always a tough question when making these lists...do you reward "dominance" or "good careers"? I think Fred Dean was more dominant than Strahan, but I would put Strahan in the HOF before I would Dean. Similarly, DT is one of the best pass-rushers I have ever seen, but I am on the fence about his HOF credentials.

I don't like that they keep the history in Cleveland. It bothers me and to me makes no sense. The Ravens from 96 to present are the same team as the Browns from 95 and before. Why would their history be separated?
