Diego has the best chance of an of the current Lws of taking out BJ...but thats not really saying much. The only person that as had much seccess taking Penn down is GSP and Diego's shots arent anywhere near as good, dont kid yourself. Diego's standup has improved dramatically, but he still cant touch Penns boxing. watch his fights against GSP (the first time) and Sherk, the guy is an outstanding boxer, he's very hard to hit, and he can end a fight at any time. The only facet of Diego's game that I think is better than BJs is his cardio. But, Penn showed solid cardo aganst an opponent who basically just tried to wear him out for four rounds and he looked just fine at the end of it. He paced himself, exploded when he had an opening and then got pissed off enough in the fourth that he decided it was time to end the fight. diego is a monster at 155, no doubt, but as KenFlo put it, BJ is the master

Wow, big news from MMA Weekly:

Reports surfaced on Sunday that Griffin had suffered a jaw injury and that was the reason for his hasty exit, but MMAWeekly.com was able to confirm with representatives from Zinkin Entertainment, Griffin's management group, that he is physically fine following the Saturday night fight.

Griffin suffered no broken jaw and he is physically okay, said the Zinkin representative, but emotionally he is definitely not dealing well with the loss.

They're all emotional guys. You train your ass off for hours a day for months at a time only to be embarrassed in front of the world in a matter of minutes and you're going to be embarrassed.

It's somewhat surprising though because Forrest seems like a pretty level-headed dude who usually takes things in stride and understands that you win some and lose some.

He's one of the best personalities in MMA, you shouldn't let this one instance ruin your perception of him. He is highly respectable of everyone he faces and usually shows great sportsmanship in all of his fights, win or lose.

He was obviously very embarrassed after the loss. Give the dude a break.

Silva since entering the UFC has been the most dominant force in MMA, IMO.

Fedor hasnt lost and has wooped the has been in front of him so you cant really take him off no.1
But theres no question Silva has been the best p4p fighter since coming to UFC.
Thered be a glorious 3 way tie had GSP not gotten caught by Serra.

More so than anything else we should be thrilled that finally MMA is getting to the point where we have insane parity AND extremely dominant fighters. You need to have both to be interesting to everyone. 3 guys who are and have been absolutely dominant against there competition.


As for the card itself.

Credit to BJ Penn. Just do me a favor never fight outside of 155. His voice sickens me at this point. He is the man at 155 ...stay there.

Whatever side your coming from fact is Forrest is a guy who is tough as all balls , has shown numerous times he can brawl and take a punch , fears noone , and very recent wins against Rampage and Shogun. He had 20 lbs on his opponent.
Anderson Silva made that guy look like a grade schooler. How fuckin dominant are you when you move up a weight class ,face the recent former champ IN that weight class, you taunt a brawler 20 lbs heavier than you and you obliterate him in that fashion ?? Most dominant performance between 2 world class guys Ive seen in a long long long time. One of the most dominant and impressive ever.

Was it worth the money or quality etc etc I dont care. It is what it is. An insanely dominant performance by a world class fighter.

My only knock on Forrest is why on earth would you not go for a takedown after getting hit like that.

Everyone wants Machida but the best matchup is honestly against Evans. Machida Silva if they ever decide to put camps and friendships aside and fight , could be a showcase of stalemate. A fight with Rashad who is MUCH faster than anyone else at 205 not named Machida and is more than capable of KO punches/kicks/ and top notch wrestling. A rampage fight = likely same outcome. Rampage has been in boxing mode and I dont see him reverting to trying to slam Silva.

Who wouldnt pay to see Silva and Evans throwing 792 punches all of them dodged by the other followed by taunts, blowing kisses , and simulated banjo playing.

What are you talking about? He was knocked out. Not completely out cold but he was seeing birdies, he didn't know his ass from his elbow at that point. He didn't say he doesn't want to fight anymore, that was him saying "where the fuck am i what is going on".

Forrest is the type of dude you literally cannot knock out completely. He will be TKO'd and won't know where the fuck he is or what the fuck is going on but he won't go limp. He might be moving or trying to defend himself but he is out, make no mistake about it.
