You ALMOST had it. But then you had to throw in another disclaimer. Why is Vick a better football player than Ryan if Ryan is the better QB, and they both have exclusively played QB?

Is Vince Young better than Peyton Manning because he is faster? Is Dominic Rhodes a better RB than Joseph Addai because Rhodes might be better at kicking FGs?

I'll admit, maybe saying he was a better football player is wrong, hell, in a few years I think Matt Ryan will be a better football player then Vick EVER was or could have been.

but for those thinking that Matt Ryan's impact on the Falcons is purely the reason that had such a successfull year the season, not to mention they put the flourishing passing game on his shoulders along with, and this is the first I've ever heard anyone say this, the running game also. it isn't true.

I'm never going to hate on a player unless he's Tom Brady, and I'm physically incapable of having any type of love towards Tom Brady, because I'm a Colts fan. but when you watch Atlanta play, you see the real season they are so successful is because of they're superb ability to effectively run the football, and when that was shut down in the playoff game in Arizona, despite Ryan throwing 2 TD passes, they still couldn't win the game.

Once again, you keep putting words in peoples mouths. No Falcons fan was expecting Mike Smith to make that dramatic of a change in the team. But once he did, therefore going 11-5. It is, let me put this is caps so you can see what I'm saying, OBVIOUS that he had a great impact in the team's success this year. Which supports what I said previously, that the coaching change made a huge difference. You just have some type of hatred against Vick for some reason it seems lol, did he kill your dog or something? So, if Mike Smith had been coaching the Falcons a few years ago, then Mike Vick would be transformed into a 4000-yard 30+ TD QB? The Falcons improved play at the QB position isn't attributable to the QB, but rather the coach?

I can't accept Vick being a great football player. Sorry if that makes me a hater. I guess Vick would have been awesome if only he had Michael Turner to hand off to, if Roddy White and Michael Jenkins had 'blossomed' for him, if Mike Smith had been hired 5 years ago, etc. etc. etc.

You're right but despite Ryan playing more like a rookie and Turner getting shut down, we still had a chance to win that game. I won't go into all that though. If you watched the game you know what I'm talking about.

Its incredible if you think about it.

Atlanta really SHOULD have won that game, even when Turner had been shut down and Ryan had done average, if not well considering how young he is.

But what's really incredible about it is, this was a 4-12 team last year, that probably should have been playing in the Super Bowl.

Thats not what I said, so I don't know who 'those' are. Matt Ryan being able to throw the football had an effect on Roddy White and Michael Jenkins...that was my point. Your point was that the increased production of White and Jenkins was coincidental, or due to Michael Turner being a running threat (as if Vick wasn't a running threat when he played).

I'm on board with senser...Mike Vick was pretty bad as a quarterback. In hindsight, I'm sure the owner of the Falcons wouldn't have things any other way, then they are now. He has a franchise QB, one of the better young teams in football, and none of the drama that surrounded Vick...aka good pub.

I wouldn't give Vick much more than a back up job and a vets minimum salary upon his return. Been gone form the game and incarcerated for 2 years now...he had little skill as a QB before and he won't be the fastest guy on the field anymore.

I never said it was coincidental, I said that coincidence could be a possibility. I also said that the possibility of it being coincidental is extremely minute, and more probably, not likely.

But your last little bit there is nothing more then a sad attempt to help your argument.

We know there is a big difference between a running QB and a Runningback, we also have already confirmed that Matt Ryan is a better quarterback then Michael Vick, meaning he obviously can step up and throw a pass accurately, and not worry about tucking the ball and scrambling in meaningless situations.

Vick's running threat is completely different from Turner's running threat. and you know that.
