bama:
No it hasn't been.
LSU beating Alabama doesn't conclusivly prove that they are the better team. One game. Anything can happen. It just means based on what we have seen LSU is the better team. You have to accept that result and move on. In the end we are looking for a conclusion to the season.
LSU vs Bama serves no purpose because if LSU wins: Previous conclusion confirmed. If Alabama wins...no conclusion at all. Split. Ok st lost to Iowa St. Ok. Accept result and move on. OK St also has much more impressive wins than Bama does. You have to accept those results as well and move on.Ok St's wins more than do enough to mak eup for the loss to Iowa St in relation to Bama's resume. That's what is being said.
Also the context of LSU>Bama was ralaw saying "What if the two best teams are in the best conference?" Well, what if they aren't? That's the point. We haven't seen Ok st and Bama play. You have to start comparing resumes. You can conclude as best you can that LSU>Bama based on the field results. Working for a conclusion to the season if LSU beats Bama again the conclusion is confirmed. If Bama wins then it's split LSU=Bama..but Ok St is still really damn good and has a better resume than Bama in many people's minds so if that's true...then if Ok St could be better than Bama they could be better than LSU if Bama beat LSU.
Ok St obviously has an argument..and a stronger one than Alabama if they win Saturday. OK St beating LSU, who beat Alabama would be a strong enough conclusion for most anyone with a brain stem. If LSU wins no one else really ahas an argument...except Houston I guess...and we've been through that before with Boise and Utah.
