It must be great to win a bunch of golds in obscure events that nobody gives a damn about. Congrats Canada you're the curling and ice dancing kings. Looks like "own the podium" is paying off!

BTW Dave, you're worried because you have Luongo in net instead of Miller? I'd consider those 2 to be the top goalies in the world, its not like its a huge drop-off to have to settle for Luongo.

I was waiting for an American to "down play" our medals in events that "don't count". Of course the only ones that do count are those American wins right? Like Half pipe?

That sure looks like a good list of things we have won.

Do you guys seriously have to be arrogant all the time? Remember at the end of the day, we are the ones going for history with the most gold medals at the Winter Olympics.

Every event that everyone wins at the Olympics is an 'obscure sport' that nobody cares about! Except for hockey, nearly every other event is minor in North America, save for one or two X-Game sports.

And USA is going for the record of most medals ever in a winter olympics...so what's the difference? One isn't worse than the other. One means you won more than every other country, one means you are overall better than every other country.

considering we have top 10's all over the damn place I'd love to see a complete breakdown of placing.

And? I guarantee you a lot more people know who the medal leaders have been at the last couple Olympics than what countries have won the most gold medals at the last couple Olympics. first period was kinda slow and uneventful, but the pace of the second period was much more entertaining. sucks our only goal came on a missed offside but we needed it, granted the offside player had no part in the play. would be over if that period ended 2-0
