By the way, that is not a knock on Calvin Johnson at all. I think the guy is an elite WR with incredible skills. He could defiantly take over the reigns as the top WR next year but I am judging off this year and this year I would take Fitz over everyone.

Boldin is on there because he is one of the toughest recievers in the NFL. Moss is on there because when he is on the field he changes the way the defense thinks. Matt Cassel would not of been nearly as successful as he was without Moss. If you read what I said then you would know I never said these were the best all around wide receivers I said they make an impact when they are on the field. I will go back to Moss. If Moss wasnt playing on the patriots this year then Welker would not of been as successful because teams could just key on him.

okay and what does the fact that they are tough and give defenses matchup problems have to do with them talent wise and production wise. Isnt that what you aim for when creating a top "player" list-- talent and production?

Touchdowns>receiving yards imo. So 4 out of the 5 people on my last were 1,2,3,4 for top receiving touchdowns in the league. So I guess they would be the most productive WR in the NFL last year.

Before Boldin got hurt earlier this season he had by far the most productive first 8 weeks or whatever it was.

Welker< : He's good but I like Moore better, (Saints has another WR from the 07 draft and he's gonna be a surprise

Marshall> : I agree I forgot about him

T.O. < : (Talking about production) He's HoF all day, however he's on his decline. He drops too many passes, Yes he still puts up big numbers but still he hasnt even figured out how to beat double "soft" coverage.

Jennings = : I'd go either way with this one, I like Jennings speed a lot.

Colston < : For some reason I'd still take Moore... I know Colston was hurt this season but Moore came out of nowhere just like Colston did 3 years ago.

Bryant = : Yea this one I'd go with either or.

Yes because 200 yards proves something. Those 4 more TD's Fitz had could have been 3-5 yards long, where the offense could have easily ran the ball in without him(like today's game). I'd rather a WR who can get 300 yards with no TD's than one who can get 3 TD's with only 20 yards.

Do you watch the Cards play lol? They cannot run in short situations for shit. Their best weapon is a fade to Fitz or a slant to another WR. Johnson got 200 more yards on 20 more catches. Zona has more weapons than the Texans and the ball is not always thrown to Fitz.

Edit: You are also assuming his 4 more tds were only 3-5 yards when they really could have been 20+.

yea that throws that out but then I didnt see the Ari Car game... I'm guessing that Breaston was on the field, or Car was playing Zone (which is a big no no against great route runners)

Exactly, Zona has more people for Defenses to watch out for. When teams roll into town to play the Texans the defenses gameplan is simple "stop Johnson". I live in Houston and I see all of their games, Andre is doubled team on almost every play. Fitz just caught his slant pass on 1-on-1 coverage, I don't know if you ever played football, but a slant is the easiest completion in man coverage.

Are you fucking serious? Are you basically trying to say that Fitzgerald does well because of Anquan Boldin and boldin because of fitz? That isnt true at all. Fitz does good because simply put fitz is good. Boldin does good because boldin is good. Coverage wise they may aid one another, but more so fitz as he demands a safety overtop and boldin demands bracket coverage since he runs short and intermiedate routes. The past two seasons boldin has missed a few games and despite his absence fitz still gets the job done. And boldin has been wrecking havoc since he came in the league so he doesnt have success simply because of fitz. The only one who may receiver "help" would be breaston and he is capable of doing well when boldin isnt in the lineup as well. Hes quite good in his own right is what I am trying to say.

This year when boldin wasnt in the lineup breastons numbers are as follows....
21 catches 281 yards 2 tds.
those were his numbers as a starter when boldin missed 4 games. week 5, 6, 16, 17

Fitz when boldin wasnt in the lineup this season.
20 catches 362 yards and 5 tds

last season when boldin missed 4 games those games being week 4, 5, 6 and 14 fitz compiled the following stats:
31 catches 422 yards and 2 tds.

And about fitz working with moss and chris carter...some of what you said I never heard. what are your sources? I've heard that fitz was the ball boy and worked with chris carter on his hands and that is all. Dont know about route running and playing the jump ball etc. seems as if you exaggerated things based on the skillset fitz shows week in and week out that is similar to moss and carter.

oh and for the record..lol at 2-3 guys on boldin. theres only one wideout that demands triple coverage and that was the randy moss of years ago. randy moss isnt the same so that triple coverage isnt needed as it once was.
