I hope the fact that day one digital downloads are getting more popular is the first step in losing these absurd pre-order content things. For the first time since, maybe the early to mid 90's, I wish everyone would behave more like Nintendo.

If you have a Dead Space 2 save, you get a slightly better plasma cutter to start the game.
The Planet Cracker Plasma Cutter has slightly better parameters then the starting one and has all 8 circuit slots unlocked from beginning giving you an ever so slight edge against the Necromorph terror.Comment

The reviews are all over the place, and this is looking to be a pretty divisive game. Stuff like the weapon crafting and microtransactions have been polarizing from the reviews I've read.Comment

Essentially, you could either go into this with high expectations having played the first two and come out somewhat satisfied (words like Deja Vu and More Action/Less Horror come to mind as 'negatives' for a series that's based on cramped environments and fighting armies of space mutants... sounds familiar?).
If you're going in blind, you could do worse than putting money down on what might be (probably will be unless they go mobile again) the last of the series going forward even with the microtransactions, $10 DLC (a fucking steal nowadays) and piecemeal gun parts secreted behind Slim Jim wrapper codes.
And if you can't stomach that, Sly Cooper 4's hitting stores TODAY for $40 with the option to play the game on your Vita as well.
You can't lose today.Comment

The reviews are all over the place but they all seem to favor the co-op to the single player campaign...
