whenever i run the ball more than once or twice in a row, i get stuffed. it only works if i set up a run play or run the option

hopefully you right the ship in the passing game for chappell soon, thats alotta INT'S so far in the season.

The Indiana Hoosiers locker room was silent. Nobody moved, nobody talked, and nobody was showering. Every player, looking at the floor, awaited their punishment. Ben Chappell sat as far back as he possibly could, avoiding eye contact with everyone. Even Mike Mayberry, who had a career day, was looking (or at least acting) extremely disappointed.

Everyone looked up when they heard Coach Thompson walking in. He stopped at the entrance of the locker room, glanced at every player on the team, and went to the chalk board. He wrote one number on the board. 31.

"Can anyone tell me what that is?"

Nobody moved a muscle.

"None of you know? That was our margin of loss. You just got fuckin blown out by 31 points to NORTHWESTERN."

Ben Chappell raised his hand. "They’re the top team in the Big 10 and one of the best teams in the country. Did you really think we could beat them?"

"Oh shit, here it comes." Will Patterson muttered to himself..

Thompson's face turned a dark shade of red. He started shaking, and accidentally crushed the piece of chalk in his hand. Quietly, he said, "Are you saying you played this game thinking you were going to lose? KNOWING you were going to lose?"

Ben Chappell knew he had walked into a dark alley with 5 gunmen and no way to get out. He replied, "No, I was just saying that you shouldn't be too mad that we got crushed by a great te-"

"Northwestern is not a fuckin 'great team', ya here me?" coach Thompson yelled, "Those guys are fuckin pussies, and you shoulda kicked their ass!"

"Dude, they’re the 15th best team in the COUNTRY. We're like the 50th. How the hell are we supposed to beat them on the road?"

Chappell had crossed the line. He knew it, the assistant coaches knew it, and all the players knew it. Coach walked over to Ben, picked Ben off of his seat, and stuck Ben’s face right in front of his.

"Ya wanna play next week?" he asked?

"Ye....Yes Co...Coach."

"Then shut up and listen to me."

"Coach, I was ju-"

Coach stood up, cleared his throat, and announced to the team, "By the sounds of it, your star quarterback doesn't want to play next week."

Close to tears, Ben muttered, "All I said was-"

"I don't care what you were trying to say, you aren't playing next week. Get the fuck outta my locker room."

Ben Chappell didn't say anything. He grabbed his gear and left, tears streaming down his face.

"I think I've said enough. You may all leave now."

Tough loss to NW, it was about time to bench Ben Chappell, now to see what that backup can do

IU Lands Recruit, Chappell Not Starting

Bloomington, IN - In a week filled with excitement, the Hoosiers have lured another recruit for the 2010-2011 season.

James Webster, a 6'5 275 pound Defensive End from Bellefontaine, Ohio, is a three star recruit. He isn't great at getting to the quarterback, but almost never lets a running back run past him. "My specialty is getting to the halfback, not the quarterback," he said at his press conference announcing that he was committing to the Hoosiers, "If you want 50 sacks a year from me, f*** off. I can't do that. If you want me to get 10 tackles for loss a game, you've come to the right place."

In other Indiana Hoosiers football news, Anthony Thompson announced this morning that Mitchell Evans would be starting at quarterback in place of Ben Chappell for this week's game at Iowa. "Ben wasn't playing very well, and I thought it's time for him to sit down for a game or two and get his game back," coach Anthony Thompson told reporters, "He's a great quarterback, but he's hitting a cold streak right now. He and the whole Hoosiers team will be better off if he takes a short break. I mean, c'mon. This is his first season starting. You can't expect him to be perfect, can you?"
