But that doesn't mean those games don't matter at all. They do. You just admitted it. I never said they mattered "equally" in the grand scheme of things but those games results obviously matter. They still count towards the teams record and thus still matter. So obviously games against "top teams" aren't "all that matters".

games against top teams have a greater bearing on how good the voters perceive the team to be... they are expected to beat the shitty teams, ipso facto, they matter less...

I never said they didn't matter less.


You said games against top teams are "all that matters". "Ipso facto" the games against non top teams wouldn't matter at all. Which isn't true. They obviously matter. And they obviously matter less. But they still matter(which is all I said, I never said to what degree they matter, just that they did matter.) But that's not what you said or what was implied by your original statement.
