And you're right on Harvin, but I'm still glad we didn't draft him. I'll stand by the comments I made about his attitude. Otherwise, Dallas would not have put him in "the box".

He wouldn't get much playing time in Dallas anyway. For some reason, we don't play the young guys early unless it's a necessity.
 
I didnt write it down in a public forum but will admit that I was very much opposed to Percy Harvin coming into the draft. I definitely recognized his skill. Never much doubt there for me. For me, like others, it was an attitude and risk of substance abuse thing.

Those things may still happen in the future but at this moment right now all I can say is I was wrong. Not only has neither of those been an issue, he has really impressed me with how tough he plays (an attribute I really didn't see in him). He's gonna be a good receiver in this league for a long time if he keeps his nose clean.

Harvin has speed, hands, and despite what everyone seems to think he is an exceptional route runner. His acceleration off the line of scrimmage is superb.

He's not a halfback, he will line up at the wideout spot and he will be good. Great? I don't know, but he will be good, IMO.

He does have durability issues but I think he will be fine in the pro's because he won't be carrying the ball as much as he did in college.
