Cutler keeping OC's out of Chicago?

Has Cutler not shown he can and will get upset about a coach he doesn't like being hired?

Keep Cutler happy... unfortunately it's something that needs to be done.

I understood the post and it sucked all the same. How well has stroking Cutler's ego worked so far? To the promise land of 7-9. How well did it work in Denver before McDaniels? Did he even make the playoffs there aswell? Remind me. So you are stroking the ego of a guy who has never played in a post-season game in his life? I understand Cutler may throw a pissy fit about the next coach, it just goes to show what kind of football player Jay Cutler is imo.

Cutler for sure holds the card. The Bears gave up a lot of their future for him. No shit they are gonna support him regardless of whether he is a douche or not (he's a douche). Jay is definitely the "leader" of the Bears because of this.

So let me ask this, does anyone think he can actually be the team leader and have his team look up to him? I really don't think so, he seems like too much of a whiny bitch who puts blames on others? But hey, I could be wrong--I don't follow the Bears religiously, just watch them lose.

LOL at the Boers/Bernstein "logic". Aside from a few games, Cutler was downright horrible last year. Martz had a job as a studio analyst for the NFL Network, and he gave his opinion on Cutler's performance.

Would you actually have MORE respect for Martz's offensive acumen if he had said Cutler was doing a fantastic job? To me, that would show that Martz has no idea what he is talking about (like Ron Turner).

And what if studio analyst Bill Cowher had been asked about Cutler, and said something truthful/negative about Cutler? Would you say "No way can the Bears hire Bill Cowher..."

Yep, whether people like it or not the team gave up a lot to get Cutler and regardless of how bad he played last year he is seen as the franchise QB that the team practically has never had. So, him being involved with the hiring of an OC is of no surprise. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing to have a douche like Cutler interviewing his future “boss,” but whoever they bring in will have to be on the same page with Cutler if the team wants him and thus the team to play better.

The Broncos missed the playoffs and it's Cutler's fault. So if that's true, then you would think you'd understand a lot of the team's success is on his back.

I don't believe it was Jay Cutler that was preventing Martz from coming. I believe and have heard it was a Lovie Smith/Jerry Angelo power struggle.

Martz is simply interviewing - from what I'm seeing, Kevin Rogers is the favorite so far. I'm thinking it's pretty much up to those two. So, Gris, which is it?

You have good reason to be skeptical. Martz has been known to clash with many people. The guy is one of the more arrogant minds in the NFL.

As for being excited - If they do bring in Martz, I just hope you won't end up hating your own team, with me being on the bandwgon and all, because the only person that comes close to Kurt Warner, is Mike Martz. I have a huge man-crush.

This team needs to be completely rebuilt. I'm not too concerned with building a system around Devin Hester and Johnny Knoxville. Also, Martz has had immediate success wherever he's gone, including the Lions and 49ers.
