I just looked at FIFA 12's wiki and it had this to say about Career Mode:

• Career Mode Improvements: The manager's relationship with his players and the media will play a larger role, with team selection, success, and salaries all affecting individual players' attitudes and morale, and the press picking up on injuries and unrest, all of which can impact performance on the pitch.[9] Unhappy players can talk to the press and stir up interest from other clubs, with transfer AI also having been improved upon. Transfer targets will sometimes demand excessive wages if they think they can get away with it, and rival clubs will chance tempting your star players away for a bargain price.[9] Each club will be assigned a particular transfer mentality, where the richest clubs will tend to concentrate on acquiring the very best players available, whereas smaller clubs may look more for youngsters, older players, and loans.[11] The AI will fine-tune this element to prevent it becoming too predictable.[11] The transfer window has been overhauled, with the last day being slowed down to progress on hours rather than days[11] and featuring a ticking countdown clock as clubs hurry to complete last-minute deals. It will be possible to delay transfers until right up to the deadline in order to see how others pan out, and the club's Chief Executive will help with pointing out potential late signings.[9] Other improvements to Manager Mode include the calendar, news story displays and news feeds, which aim to make information such as upcoming events, transfers, and rumours more accessible.[11] Facebook integration has been implemented.[11]

Sounds good, but right now my biggest concerns are a) progression and b) bringing back the old scouting system. Fingers crossed!

Fan feedback for FIFA games is taken seriously, says Electronic Arts.

You know like releasing their first patch to fix a bug ridden game 2 months after release and being completely silent for most of those 2 months about if they are fixing anything.

And still never "fixing" progression until patch two. Oh wait that patch never did anything anyway.

If anyone is serious about a league I am running a PS3 league. The goal is two divisions of ten teams. We will probably start as 1 division unless I can find 20 quality guys. Whenever we expand to 2 division we will do promotion and relegation. Each season we will use different leagues and random drafts to keep shit fresh.

I can't wait for this, I hadn't played 11 in about a month and traded it in which was is something I really regret haha. I'll be on 360.

that is strange that they have the worldwide release date. At least you still will get the $20 credit, if they don't ship it till worldwide release date.

I’ll be honest with you. This is not going to be the all singing, all dancing Career Mode that everyone ‘dreams’ of having to compliment FIFA’s gameplay. There are just too many big things still missing to call the mode anywhere near complete or perfect. This feeling is also enforced by some of the aging tech still being utilised by Career Mode, like the Team Management interface. This in my eyes has no place in a modern day football game and should be cast aside at the earliest opportunity.

It’s also worth mentioning that whilst all the above features sound great, the success of Career Mode this year is ultimately going to come down to the modes stability and reliability, long term. If we start getting widespread game save corruptions, players disappearing and regular crashes, much of the excellent work done in the features department will be irrelevant. Career Mode is as much at the mercy of bugs and glitches as it is to the actual innovation by the development team.

Having said that, for the first time in about three years I’m actually seeing genuine progression in Career Mode and when you see things you fed back to the devs six weeks ago, now in the game and flourishing, it makes it all of this worth while. Career mode seems to have a defined vision now and you get a real sense that the team in Vancouver know how to achieve it.

If FIFA 11’s Career Mode was a 3/10, this year’s is probably a strong 6/10 maybe even 7/10, if we get the stability we crave. That’s a pretty huge leap in one development cycle and for the first time, in years I actually believe that under Simon Humber’s stewardship, Career mode can continue to develop and improve year on year.

Career Mode is good this year and it will be the most playable and enjoyable Career Mode we’ve seen this generation. The ‘great’ however, may take just a little longer.

1) Career mode looks relatively the same, which sucks, but hopefully the new youth academy feature will give the mode some life.
2) The Benzema volley at the end was a welcoming sight. Volleying in 11 was absolutely horrendous.
3) If you didn't watch the video all the way through, the demo drops September 13th
