Scholes back is like a godsend. But it doesnt really help much for the future. As odd as it may be, losing Cleverly really fucked the midfield. And hes been hurt for damn near 3 months now.

Anyone still wanna bitch about the red card? Two footed challenge with studs up? That is a definite red card. Nani avoided most of the contact but that's dangerous play from Kompany. If Nani doesn't avoid it, that's the kind of challenges that is a leg-breaker.

Awesome to see Henry get a goal on his first match back. It would really help Arsenal if he can do that in the league as they really lack a consistent goal-threat outside of Van Persie. I don't really expect a ton from the loan period but I'm just gonna try to enjoy seeing him back.

Definitely enjoyed him. He scored so many goals of such quality. But I wans't really that heart-broken when he left, despite being one of my favorite players.

It was a weird situation. He was clearly an influential player and loved the club, yet he never seemed like an ideal choice as a captain as I'm not sure he's really a leader. Beyond that, it seemed like Wenger became over-reliant on Henry and his goal-scoring. He became the centerpiece of the squad and there wasn't enough quality put around him. When Arsenal were winning trophies, they had influential quality all over the pitch - not just Henry, but Campbell, Pires, Ljundberg, Bergkamp, and of course Vieira. By the time he left the club, had van Perise (often injured), Kolo Toure, Gallas, and Fabregas. It was odd... Henry had almost become too important to the side and was put in a situation where the club couldn't succeed. Wenger is really the one at fault.

"Worn out his welcome" is perhaps the best way to put it, though I don't know its Henry's fault. I blame Wenger more than anything. It seemed like what both sides needed to do to move forward. And ironically, it really hasn't worked out for either side.

Not too shabby from the Scouse today. City look like a completely different team without Silva and Yaya. All that money paid for forwards is quite useless without Yaya and Silva. Thank goodness for the ACON!!!

Also, its getting pretty bad for Everton when Landon walks in and is one of their top 3 performers instantly. I like Landy Cakes, but Everton really need to do something fast.

Indeed. It was the best move at the time for both player and club. It should have been the point where Arsenal began building a true squad with depth again but I don't think Wenger's been taking the right approach, to be honest. Consistently relying on young players to be your key stars is a dangerous approach and it clearly has not worked.

Both incidents represent racism in football. Some fan being stupid or a player being stupid are both inappropriate.

Didn't get to see the Arsenal match this morning, but given the result, that's probably a good thing. From the sound of it, Swansea simply outplayed the Gunners so fair play. Arsenal has a ton of injuries right now but that's not an excuse and blame for lack of squad depth has to fall to the manager. Spend some bloody money, Arsene.
