The Beavers added two more five-star recruits to their commitment list. A list which now includes the top two prospects of this year's class. MLB AJ Morton from Daleville, Alabama, one of the five-star prospects and rated the 2nd best player in the nation, has a great awareness of where the ball is going and takes great pursuit angles to get to where he needs to go. The other five-star prospect, DE Stephen Thompson from State College, Pennsylvania will make a great book end to pressure the passing game. He has good speed but his ability to stop the run remains suspect. With these two coming in, the Beavers' defense looks to be in good shape for the near future. The surprising thing is that these guys are coming from Alabama and Pennsylvania, State College no less. Not the traditional California talent that has been making up the majority of the Beavers' roster.

In addition to the five-star recruits, Oregon State also landed three 4-star prospects. The coaching staff is really high on QB Todd Jones from Hesperia, California. Rated the 9th best QB in the country, Jones has a cannon of an arm and looks to have a head on his shoulders to master the playbook. Do not be surprised if Jones gets the nod to start next season over Ty Moore, but it will likely be an open competition between those two. Mike Riley has liked what he has seen from Moore in limited action. Also, Oregon State brings in 4-star OLB John Hicks from Aransas, Texas, who will the Beavers more athleticism at the position. On top of acquiring junior college transfer HB John Johnson from Modesto, California who is known for running over defenders rather than trying to go around them. Johnson could easily compete for the starting job with HB Derrick Andrews next season.

Chris: We are here in Tallahassee for an important ACC rivalry game between Clemson (crowd boos) and Florida State (crowd cheers). You could make a case that there has not been any team more dominant over the last few years than the Clemson Tigers and here they are, still undefeated, trying to claw their way in for another chance at a national title. But in their way are the Seminoles of Florida State whose only loss came at the hands of Virginia Tech on a last second field goal. The Noles are probably out of the title race but are still playing to get into the conference championship and a BCS bowl.

Chris: Man, the SEC has really beat up on each other this season. Look how far Tennessee has fallen so quickly. Alright, time for the picks for this one here guys.

Kirk: Clemson is really an anomoly to me. I mean they are a good team with a good coach, but I look at the Tigers and I look at the Seminoles. Florida State looks like the better team but this young Clemson team just seems to be on a mission to win football games no matter how they have to do it. And I think it all comes from their sophomore WR Patrick Rackley (79 ovr, 97 jmp) who at first glance does not look like anything special. But he has the heart of a champion. He's already scored 13 touchdowns and has over 700 receiving yards. The talent that makes him unique is his ability to jump up and make the big catch. That is why he has become the leading Heisman frontrunner. If he can do it against Florida State today, he can do it against anybody. I'm taking the Tigers. (crowd boos)

Lee: You didn't even mention their MLB Ryan Williams (99 ovr) who is just an absolute beast in the middle who can fly around the field. He makes what would be an average defense a good one. So good in fact that Clemson is 2nd in rush defense only behind Florida State who is 1st. The Tigers have continued their success even in what was considered a rebuilding year but now they face one of the most talented teams in college football. It all starts with that defense for the Noles with FS Donovan Stewart (97 ovr) and MLB Andy Gunn (95 ovr). I don't expect to see too much scoring today, plus I hear that a storm is heading this way. I expect to see a lot of turnovers and this will be a very, very close game. Alright here I go...(Lee puts on the Seminole headdress as he does the warchant with the crowd)

Sorry, I've kind of gone silent since my console broke. I don't really know what to say since I'm kind of bummed that I can't play my game anymore. I actually started playing NCAA 2007 on the PS2 the other day. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my Xbox, but I hope to either finish this last season on this or get a dynasty started for NCAA 10 depending on when I have a working console again.
