Remember a month ago when dave was calling people crazy for suggesting that Joe Flacco could win a Super Bowl?

Now he has swung completely in the other direction.

Soo.... I'm not saying Flacco is elite... but Brady has had great regular seasons past few years and played pretty dam shitty in comparison in the postseason, Flacco outplayed Brady last year in the AFC Ship too, I would rather have the guy that is getting it done in the playoffs with a shaky regular season if I'm going to throw out the word Elite, you want the guy to be great in both, but above average in regular season and great in playoffs is > great in regular season and average-below average in playoffs

He was a solid tier two quarterback prior to this season...he just led his team to a Super Bowl and had the greatest post-season run in the history of the game at quarterback. That would quantify you as elevating your status.

Ya'll that don't think so don't live in reality and live in some pseudo-SABR world where accomplishments don't mean anything.
 
Winning 1 Super Bowl makes you elite? I'm sorry, but Flacco had a lot of shit fall his way through out the playoffs. You have to do more then just show up in the playoffs to be considered elite. Not Top 10 in any regular season statistics. The Ravens are going to drop the cash on this guy, and basically force themselves to lose some good players. He will be exposed as the average quarterback he is.

who cares if he's elite? what ever that means ? he's as good as he needs to be in his era with his peers.

and he's obviously in an elite class of 1 of less than 47 QBs to win a SB.
 
Why would he need to be top 10 in anything with Ray Rice? I dont know maybe its the lonely Cowboy fan inside of me but hes taken Baltimore to the playoffs every year hes been there, won at least one playoff game each time, and has taken them to the AFC championship 3 times in 5 years.. sounds pretty damn good to me.
