Another bruiser to help Howard would be great, but they also need a perimeter player who can create not only for himself, but others. Nelson does this in stints, but nearly consistent enough and Carter was brought in to do this, but he's past his prime and would rather take jump shots.

I just remember what Paul did for Tyson Chandler's career, so can only imagine what he'd do for Howard's who basically is a rich man's Chandler.

Not sure if Orlando needs a guy who can score at the 4 but even a thug/bruiser like Reggie Evans would be a great fit IMO. What is killing Orlando is Howard's inability to get a real offensive game. If he could you'd could go out and get an Evans type to bang and play defense....but as it stands now Howard doesn't have enough O to make up for an Evans type at the 4 and that leaves the Magic having t o stay with Lewis there and he get's shredded by guys like Gasol. If Howard could ever develop a move and a counter move he'd be almost un-guardable and Orlando could look to fill in the 4 with a better championship fit.

If Orlando is serious about winning, which given the fact they are $20 million over the cap they seem to be...... they have to do something. They already proved they can't be an aging Boston team, so what are they going to do with Miami? IMO Howard is maxed out as an offensive player, but he's still getting 18-20ppg, but I'm not sure how effective those 20ppg are. You're right though.

Exactly..and people haven't made a lot of noise about it but Lewis has been dropping of for the past 3-4 years. They'd be smart to get rid of him ASAP, lock Howard in the gym with Ewing until October, get Paul and/or a defensive minded 4 and go from there.

Lewis has a rough 2-3 years on his contract. It won't be easy to find teams to give something back for him for another year at least. Definitely agree he has dropped off for the past few seasons regularly.

Last year was a bit more harsh than the recent trend but some it last year was IMO really missing Hedo and the open looks Hedo would find him. It's going to be tough to move Shard's contract but if Larry Hughes can get moved around 5 times I'm sure Shard can. A team like NO might do it while moving Paul just because of the demand and a guard like Collison would be nice for Lewis to play with he can float on the wing while Collison breaks players down.

I can't speak for everyone but when I talk second fiddle I mean in the eyes of the masses from an off-the-court perspective. LeBron will no doubt be the best player on that team, but in terms of marketing in the Miami era, or even last second game winning shots LeBron is the second guy and thus will have trouble reaching elite status seemingly being considering by his direct peers as a follower.

disagree. he is not a much better player than lebron. I wonder how lebron feels about wade getting a ring without jumping on a team with two other stars. and the 06 heat were not stacked at all. but wade has the will to win something lebron doesnt have.

I know he hasn't always looked great in the playoffs but it's hard to argue with his numbers. The only thing you could say is that he isn't very clutch and is inconsistent at times, because his numbers throughout the playoffs have been great the past couple years.
