LOL, come on people. Some of you make it seem as if LBJ is simply going to be Pippen to Wade's Jordan and this isn't going to be the case. Yes, his scoring stats may go down and he'll have to share the "big dog" role, but LBJ isn't going to be some simple role player who will go unnoticed or that can be replaced. I'd almost guarantee that while his scoring may go down a bit, his assist and rebounding numbers will probably go up. Yes, this was Wade's team, but due to his immense talent LBJ isn't going to play second fiddle to anyone in Miami. Jordan was overwhelmingly the best player in Chicago, but this isn't going to be the case in Miami with Wade and LBJ. At the minimum he and Wade are going to share in the franchise guy role.

Id never be foolish enough to call LeBron James a "role player".. but the mere fact that its going to be up for debate whether hes the best player or not on his team is just blasphemy. Guys like Wade and LeBron are supposed to lead their teams against each other, not diddle each other for 2.5 hours, 82 nights a year.

I agree both Chicago and New York would have been good teams with LeBron leading the way. Chicago wouldn't have gotten Bosh, and Boozer is no where near the player Bosh will be the next 6 years.

Make no mistake that Miami will always be Wade county tho.. LeBron will forver be the "new guy in town" while Wade will have the full career legacy.

New York could probably get a guy like Tony Parker or Melo next year but the big 3 with Wade and Bosh is better than a big 3 with LeBron, Amare, Melo/Parker

Ok..but that's not the point...the point was that you said it wouuld take Chicago and NY 3-5 seasons to build around Lebron James and make a team title read. In reality it would have taken 2-3 days to get guys to come to those teams if James went there..plus all the talent already on the roster(especially in Chicago's case)...and in both of those scenario's James would have been THE guy.

As FedEx said, Chicago would be in the running for the Finals, but so are the Cavs with LeBron on that team.

Doubtful...they weren't last season and it was obvious no one was coming to Cleveland even with Lebron there.

Miami is a clear favorite to win the East IMO with the three there.

It outrageous to consider a guy that is having articles written about him averaging a triple double next season to be considered a role player. I am both a huge LeBron fan and a huge Wade fan so there is bias on my part as well. Anyway it goes, unless LeBron stays in Cleveland, he will be known as the guy that had to get out of Cleveland and find other players because he couldn't do it himself. Doesn't matter where he goes outside of Ohio.

Again..not the point. No one is demanding Lebron do it on his own or all by himself..what people were demanding/expecting/etc was Lebron, a guy who everyone figured wanted to be the GOAT doing it somewhere as THE guy with support...not going to Wade's city and Wade's team to be A guy with him.

IMO unless he won like 6-7 championships in Cleveland/Chicago/NY he wasn't going to be placed on MJ's level. MJ is simply on a level that fans and the media won't let other players touch. Before all of this I felt LBJ was on track to be the greatest SF ever and I still think he can be. If he wins 4+ championships coupled with his career numbers he's going to be in the discussion.

The ball was going through Chris 85% of the time when he was on the court in Toronto, its not going to happen like that in Miami. Boozer is a very good power forward. He has also had Williams giving him the ball. Prior to the 06-07 season when Williams became great he was averaging 5 points less per game. Bosh has put up solid numbers without a PG as capable as Deron. Bosh is also 3 years younger than Boozer which plays into the future more.

May be biased because I really don't like anything to do with Chicago, but I don't think that team is title ready, not nearly as much as the Heat team right now. NY wouldn't be title ready until at least next season, but I also would have liked to see him go there. If LeBron really needed to be "the guy", he wouldn't have gone to Miami, that very clear. He has a big ego, but it's overemphasized in points like this.

Agreed 100%.. this is no doubt going to become the norm in the NBA. And it will lessen the blow on LeBron's rep, but everyones gonna remember this FA class for what it is. This wasnt like when Boston got Ray Allen and KG (which was annoying at the time too, but ppl saw realized all 3 of those guys were on their last legs), this was 3 guys in their prime, in the biggest FA class in history.. and they just sucked the life out of every NBA city outside of Miami by doing what they did. Teams fucked their whole teams up just for a chance at these guys..

I was comparing to Boozer's numbers vs. Bosh's when placed in the same situation. A lot of Boozer's points came off easy buckets from Williams where as Bosh had to create more of his own shots. Bosh has also averaged 10 more games a year than Boozer throughout his career, and holds three years of youth on Boozer.

All along teh free agency thinking was Wade was going to stay in Miami and bring Amar'e along...Bosh and Lebron would try and team up somewhere. Bosh's preference all along was LeBron...even the Cavs knew that...but Bosh didn't want to play in Cleveland.

Bosh has age and some athleticism on Boozer, no doubt. Neither are very good defenders, and Boozer can be a man possessed on the boards.. its fun to watch. Ive never seen Chris Bosh display that mentality as a rebounder..

Boozer relies on the mid-range jumper a lot, as does Bosh, both usually created on their own. But no doubt Bosh would RELISH playing with someone like Deron Williams, because he is a little more athletic then Carlos. I still think Chris Bosh is a better player then Carlos Boozer, but the differences are marginal man.. age is the big thing he has on his side.

yeah, the Bulls developed the team around Jordan to win a championship, unlike what the Cavs did with LeBron.

I am sick and tired of people saying the Cavs didn't put a team around Lebron.

We put a team around him. He fucking quit. He quit in the ECF last year and he quit against the Celtics this year in game 5 and 6. It wasn't that he didn't have help. It wasn't Le Elbow. He quit.

This team has had the best record in the NBA for the past 2 seasons. This same team swept the Lakers this past year, including a blowout on Christmas day in LA. They handed the Boston Celtics their worst home loss in the franchise's playoff history.

The Cavs developed this team around him. They gave him a squad he could win a championship with. But, as always, when Lebron doesn't get his way (I.E. Mike Brown), he takes his ball and goes home.

I dont see how LeBron could be the favourite for MVP at this point.. hes paired himself with one of the other legit threats for MVP.. surely they are taking votes away from each other and that alone would likely put them out of the running.

Unfortunately we'll never be able to conclude accurate results of this debate. Bosh, although inconsistent, also has 3PT range. Hopefully, for Miami's sake, he can keep up the 37% he shot from distance last season.
