This is part of the problem. Due to marketing campaigns he was basically expected to be the greatest and he's failed. I think LeBron thought a championship would just happen, that it wouldn't be that hard since he was so good and it was expected he'd win a title.

So you guys are telling me if you had the choice to play on a Really good team that is almost guaranteed championships or play on a team that is good but not that much better than the team your already on after you failed 7 years in a row to win a ring. We understand it as individuals, but he just gave up the chance to be the greatest of all time to be the greatest second-fiddle of all time, the greatest role player of all time, the greatest sidekick of all time.

He's out of the Jordan, Kobe, Magic conversation and... as plenty have said, into the Pippen one.

Ok, I'm sick and tired of seeing asshats on ESPN and ESPN.com commenting on this Jordan stuff and saying "Well what did Jordan win before Pippen?"...What? When the Bulls drafted Pippen Jordan had just finished his third year in the league. Who on God's green Earth expected Jordan to win right away coming to the Chicago fucking Bulls in 1984? I mean it was obvious right after Jordan entered the league the effect he had on the Bulls. They made the playoffs each of his first three seasons and his third season was amazing.

Then some clown on ESPN.com writes an article comparing James going to Miami to Jordan "learning how to pass" later in his career, as if to point out Jordan is being a hypocrite. Yes, Jordan passing to Steve Kerr is the equivalent of James going to join two of the Top 10 players in the NBA..What?

Also, take a peak at the numbers...as Jordan's career went on his assist numbers actually went down. Pre-Championship in Chicago Jordan averaged 5.6 APG. 1st Championship and on he averaged 4.9.(I left out the Washington years) Jordan didn't "learn how to pass", what he did was learn when to pass and he was surrounded by better players as well.

If he goes anywhere but Cleveland, he's going to be scrutinized about not being able to be the GOAT in Cleveland. He's obviously taking a little more with Miami, but he would have gotten it everywhere he went. He's always explained Jordan is the greatest of all time and he always will be. Not really. Everyone knows Cleveland is a fucking joke and the city sucks. No one was scrutinizing James for the past two years when it was assumed he was going to New York. The only people that felt butthurt about that were the people in Cleveland.

Whats completely undeniable out of all this and how legendary LeBron would've been to have risen a team like the Knicks or Nets from the dead and lead HIS OWN TEAM to a championship, Cleveland included. That was the chance he had as a player.. to not only create that legacy for himself but to potentially SAVE a franchise. Obviously the huge ego LeBron has doesnt quite translate into pride. Its ok for a guy like Chris Bosh to ride coattails.. most of the basketball world knows Chris cant do it on his own.. but that wasnt the case for LeBron. I rate that he wants to win.. I dont rate that he took the easy way to do it.. FA was supposed to be used to build the star of all these guys.. not for all these guys to hop on one space ship and fly to the moon. And even worse they not only stunted their own stardom, they sucked the life out of the hype of FA for so many other players. Its not good for the league to have multiple stars on one team.. stars are supposed to LEAD teams and help create markets ALL around the NBA. Instead 3 stars decide to sip Pina collato's in the same market... a market where they dont even come close to selling out playoff games. Giant kick in the balls of the entire basketball world.

LOL, come on people. Some of you make it seem as if LBJ is simply going to be Pippen to Wade's Jordan and this isn't going to be the case. Yes, his scoring stats may go down and he'll have to share the "big dog" role, but LBJ isn't going to be some simple role player who will go unnoticed or that can be replaced. I'd almost guarantee that while his scoring may go down a bit, his assist and rebounding numbers will probably go up. Yes, this was Wade's team, but due to his immense talent LBJ isn't going to play second fiddle to anyone in Miami. Jordan was overwhelmingly the best player in Chicago, but this isn't going to be the case in Miami with Wade and LBJ. At the minimum he and Wade are going to share in the franchise guy role.

I agree both Chicago and New York would have been good teams with LeBron leading the way. Chicago wouldn't have gotten Bosh, and Boozer is no where near the player Bosh will be the next 6 years. New York could probably get a guy like Tony Parker or Melo next year but the big 3 with Wade and Bosh is better than a big 3 with LeBron, Amare, Melo/Parker. As FedEx said, Chicago would be in the running for the Finals, but so are the Cavs with LeBron on that team. Miami is a clear favorite to win the East IMO with the three there. Sure they would be "LeBron's team", but LeBron wont just be a "role player" on the Heat team. It outrageous to consider a guy that is having articles written about him averaging a triple double next season to be considered a role player. I am both a huge LeBron fan and a huge Wade fan so there is bias on my part as well. Anyway it goes, unless LeBron stays in Cleveland, he will be known as the guy that had to get out of Cleveland and find other players because he couldn't do it himself. Doesn't matter where he goes outside of Ohio.
