Looking back at Faulk's career, seems to me, he really wasn't capable of leading a team anywhere. Here's the Colts records, with Marshall Faulk.

Impressive, indeed. Seems to me, Marshall Faulk wasn't hall of fame worthy, until Mike Martz/Kurt Warner came along. When Kurt Warner was healthy, Marshall Faulk had his best seasons - when Kurt Warner started suffering from injury set backs in, what? 2002? Marshall Faulk never again saw a 1,000 yard season. I know, I know, let's put the blame on whoever the fuck the Colts quarterback was prior to Peyton Manning... But using your theory, a running back like Marshall Faulk, should have been able to carry, well, just about any quarterback, right?

Kurt Warner carried Marshall Faulk, Marshall Faulk gets a hall of fame induction because of it, and believe me when I say, he isn't complaining one damn bit. And neither should any of you.

I remember Warner going 0-6 in '02 with the Rams throwing something pitiful like 3 TDs and 11 INTs. Just sayin'.
And in his last season in '03 with the Rams was 0-2 before Bulger took over again. Just sayin'.

I remember that, too.. I also remember Marshall Faulk not being as good as you people claimed he was, when Kurt Warner was injured and actually did need some help that year. After all Faulk did for us, and he did do a lot, I'll never forgive Faulk for not stepping up and helping bail us out, when we needed him most. Although, his 68 yards per game, was impressive. It just made me appreciate Kurt Warner more, because I know, when he's healthy, he'll always be good enough to carry the load.

Now, I'm not even sure what we're discussing anymore. This thread is a Kurt Warner tracking thread, to track his 300 yard games. If you people enjoy overrated role players, carried by their quarterbacks, I'm sure you can find a few Fitzgerald, Duper, John Taylor, Faulk, Boldin, Holt fans sites on the internet. It was fun baiting you as usual, but now it's old... and now it's time to direct this thread back to it's main purpose - to praise one of the greatest quarterbacks in recent memory, and to watch him quickly move up the ranks of the best 300 yard passers.

I just have to ask, since when are skill positions considered role players? That's a term reserved for 3rd down backs, and guys who play just one small role on the team, not stars like Faulk, Holt, Bruce, Fitz, Boldin and the like.

That's so odd, I don't remember Warner being injured in the first three games when he threw 1 TD 7 INTs and had a 69.5 passer rating. Just sayin'.
I do remember Faulk having 269 total yards on 53 touches and 4 touchdowns in those same 3 games. But you're right Faulk didn't show up. Just sayin'.

I wonder who carried the team without Warner?
Because Faulk only average 162.1 total yards with 6 total TDs on 171 total touches over the next 6 weeks, that includes week 9 when he got injured. Just sayin'.
And of course there are the first three strait wins of the Rams season when faulk had 158, 183, and 178 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs without Warner. Just sayin'.

It's kind hard to carry a team with a bad high ankle sprain as a RB. Just sayin'.
It's hard to rehab a bad high ankle sprain when you have to play because Warner literally threw away three games to open the season, the team wins 1 game without you, then Warner takes the starting job back and loses another game, and you're behind in the standings. Just sayin'.
When Faulk is forced to play through injury in week 12 Warner throws 42 times 0 TDs 2 INTs with a shitty 43.6 rating and somehow Faulk didn't show up? Just sayin'.
You would think that Warner/your idol/your God would be able to carry a football team with a broken pinky. A pinky man...a pinky. Just sayin'.

edit: Shit, Romo won 3 strait games after coming back frome a breaking his pinky last year. Just sayin'.
In two of those games Romo had 300+ yards and 3 TDs in both. Just sayin'.

It's almost invalid to compare Duper to any WR Warner played with for many reasons.

1. The rule changes in recent years.
2. Every star WR [outside of Fitz who only played his rookie season 780 yds 8 tds BTW] had their best years receiving measured by stats without Warner.
3. Duper never played without Marino.
4. Duper's name sucks.

Larry Fitzgerald didn't have a single 100 yard game during his rookie season (16 games.) Even Az Hakim had a 100 yard game, when he started at least 15 games. Of course, Hakim did have Kurt Warner throwing him the ball, so, lol, that's not a fair comparison, you know?

Let's use, uh, Matt Jones... Matt Jones even had a 100 yard game during his rookie season, and he was rumored to be snorting cocaine at the time.. Cocaine + Byron Leftwich + 100 yards = Impressive, if you ask me.

Larry's rookie season didn't impress me at all. Larry Fitzgerald will impress me, when Kurt Warner retires, and Fitzgerald's performances lead the team to victories, division tites, postseason victories. It's not too much to ask, since they're doing it now, right? And when he does that, If I'm still alive by then, I'll log on, and say I was wrong.

QB's touch the ball every play, kind of like when Warner was replaced after fumbling the ball six times in one game back in St. Louis ...WR's don't determine the outcome unless the QB can get the ball out to them.

Did you really just go through all of that to say McCown threw to Larry Fitzgerald for 100 yards twice? ...I'm just wondering how this helps you at all.

edit: I thought you were making a case for Larry being unable to get 100+ yards without Warner. Odd strategy to change it up at this point. McCown sucks ass chunks and even he could get Larry 100 yards in a game.

Larry had three 90+ yd games as a rookie each time with a TD. And had two multi-TD games as a rookie outside of these 90+ yard games...not too shabby.
