Quick on BC, starting QB is not David Shiskie it's Dominique Davis. Same #.

The more I look at this file the more I go "wow EA what happened". They barely put the RS on any trues from last year. They basically just added a year to the class and were done with it.

I think the SR who is the 2nd QB on BC is Chris Crane who graduated. These kind of dudes are all over the file too. Oh well, we'll get it sorted.

Very very lazy roster making by EA this year...moreso than last year.

I truly question that they put any kind of actual research into rosters. It is easiest thing to actually do, is compile team data for a roster. A little time consuming, but very easy to do.

The best year EA had with the roster is the year they actually gathered information from a former roster editor pre-release.

I guess, in all of the 90 hour work weeks these guys put together, they can't find time to actually put together the player rosters with due diligence, but and then wonder why their is an insane progression issue, seemingly yearly.

Its simple...guys, you rate the damn players too high. And, you don't put together a decent, well balanced, somewhat true to life roster. That is why there are 2482904 99 overall players by the time year 4 comes around and ten times that many 90 overall and above players and it is why, for certain teams, after year 1 and 2, you have to fill 70 roster spots with 50 guys. SMH.

If they put in 1 weeks time of the development cycle to this, it would save the pains in the arse that most of the lack of due diligence causes.

Hey Lan if your doing ratings I have one suggestion. Wazzu's reciever Jeshua Anderson (#85) is really fast he also plays track and is currently the 400m champion for the second straight year. I think his 40 yard dash falls within 4.28 - 4.3.

I am making these changes from the roster I grabbed from your GT larry. I will stop doing that because it doesn't make sense if I am just going to grab your file again in a few days.

One question for you on Miami I saw you had Gunn starting over Figueroa on the OL, is that right? I don't know myself, just wondering.

That is a potential move. Gunn will be in the rotation and was taking first team snaps during spring ball.

I'm not really available to do roster changes during the week (work and life stuff), so...it is basically on Lan to do with it what he wants...it is his roster file...you should ask him and arrange stuff with him if you want to do corrections.

You know what annoys me...when they have black guys as white guys and don't change it for years. I feel sorry for Frank Goodin (UL-Monroe) and Paul Igboeli (Utah State), if they play this game. Every year, picking it up, only to play as themselves, turn it on and "F@CK! I'm STILL WHITE!"

Does the flaw with the DC still exist where if you change position of a player in the editing area it auto-reorders the DC for that team?

If nobody knows I'll check that tonight. I hate having the FB as your 3rd punter. EA should let us assign NO PLAYER slots to the DC to keep it clean and streamlined.

I don't think so...however, the entire depth chart goes FUBAR when you create a player and add him to a roster. So, be careful of that.

Guess is goes to show that even the omniscience of Rivals isn't exactly infallible after all. Besides, as soon as the college football season starts, won't there be a whole mess of corrections when we actually see who's starting and who's not? Version 3.0 anyone? At any rate, I got to say I love the community effort over here. Nice to feel like part of an open source project with Lanteri leading the way. Lanteri is like the Barack Obama of the digital sports nation, L0L!

Ha I only knew this because someone posted info that he transferred before and when you posted those changes, I remembered seeing Forcier (btw one of my fav QB's in 09) was transferring...i made sure he was by searching google.

Yep. Very excited to have him on board. Him, larry, and sirbrown were the old PS2 team that used to put out those excellent roster updates back in years past. Larry's trying to track down SirBrown but to even have these two guys around helping out is great in and of itself.

Havent downloaded an updated roster since this one was released so I am not sure if it has been fixed....But I've noticed that Clemson's top corner and possible NFL day 1 pick Crezdon Butler's name is spelled incorrectly. It is spelled right now Crezbon Butler on the file I downloaded.

I personally took care of Utah State myself...

I got rid of the freshy fullbacks, because they don't use the fullbacks and the RBs are Smith the JUCO transfer, Speight, Turbin (who, I think I need to correct, for some reason he's taller now and is a freshman *shrugs), and the two young guys Harris and the other guys name escapes me.

would like the best over all roster but I play with Utah State. So yes a good Utah State roster is important.

It'll be a while before a "best overall" roster is out, but I think the USU roster I have going on the file in my locker is as good as you'll find. I need to re-edit Turbin and maybe give it a once more over, and if you are looking at numbers, you'll need to do that yourself (I'm not picky with numbers and equip edits like my man bl8000), but the roster is strong, has all of the right players where they should be.

I have one more position opened for a CAP, if you have a suggestion as to whom, let me know, but check out the roster and let me know what you think. I'm using USU for a dynasty this year, so, I wanted to make sure it was on the up and up.
