The challenge play logic is still horrible. I'm playing my second pre-season game vs the Giants. Manning throws this ridiculously floaty pass to the sideline with about six players crowded in the area and Nicks makes the catch but I checked the replay and he clearly stepped out of bounds and then came back in bounds to make the catch even though only one of his feet came down in bounds. I challenged the play and it was still upheld. Bullshit.

Im liking this game...I like that online play doesn't have that "Delay" that we all experience in NCAA. Seems like there is a lot more user control on D if you are good with the sticks

yea easy to get users which is good IMO. Dumb passes should be picked off more IMO.

I really hate pass coverage in this game. The CPU is so full of cheese I'm about to break my controller.

I'm playing the Titans in my 3rd pre-season game. I'm driving for a TD with my first team offense. I'm at their five yard line. I call a slants play and I see Bennett streak to the middle and is open. I also notice that one of their defensive lineman dropped back and rotated into coverage, but he was playing middle right and the pass was to the left middle. I gun it with Cutler and it's heading right to Bennett but lo and behold this Superman of a defensive lineman literally warps to the ball, I shit you not, and picks it off. I wtahded the replay about five times and sure enough you see this guy cheating to the right of the field, leaving the middle open. As soon as I gun the throw he warps towards the ball.

Hopefully I can upload the play to eth EA servers so everyone can see this bullshit.

And just like with NCAA, the CPU seems to intercept 8/10 chances they have. Yet I'll have balls thrown right into Chris Harris and Peanut Tillman's hands and I'll be lucky if I get 2/10 INT chances.

This is only on All-Pro by the way.

Fuck this game so far.

If I can run like this consistently I could fall in love with this game, even with the overly frustrating passing game.

I'm noticing some weird roster shit in the pre-season like offensive players on defense. Johnny Knox was just playing DB. And Peppers was playing LB?

I like a lot of things about the game but the passing game is pissing me off. We'll see if it gets any better when I start the regular season and Cutler and my starting wide outs are playing more than a quarter.

Twigg.....sigh. You have been playing madden/ncaa for years...cmon. First of all I am pretty sure you dont play enough to be really good at passing. You said the same thing in NCAA.

2nd....every year the games comes out and the first week everyone complains the pass defense is too tough. Come back in a month and the scores in a 5 min game are 50-40. It is AI....after your play 20-30-40 games you figure it out.....just like every year this game comes out.

1 last point....I would rather it be pretty tough to pass rather than have my defense non existent. People will always find ways to score.....much harder to find ways to stop them.

I love the fact that there are no more canned animations. All the break tackle animations can be interrupted leading to a lot less BS runs on AP.

Ive played 6 game total and they all were smooth. Only thing I have to complain about is the 2 disconnects Ive had but as far as lag, there seemingly is very little if any at all.

This was revealed in a review online...might have been IGN. Says its not really that bad UNTIL, someone gets hurt playing outside their position.

Okay, my first impression is visual.

I will never be able to play inside of a dome, in Ford Field, the game looks TERRIBLE!.
Do all the indoor stadiums look that bad?

I quit and am now playing as Denver vs the Cowboys. I will say the game looks great outside. I'm having serious issues with the cameras though. Regular is too far out and zoom, you can't see the outside receivers.

I decided to try Broadcast cam and the game looks amazing that way. I also turned off player names to see better. It really looks like watching a real game.

The only problem is, I will have to get used to running sideways and finding receivers. If I can stick with this view and learn it, the game will be great.
But as it is, its still in the 1st QTR and I'm losing 21-0 LOL

I like the running game, at least for me. The CPU is pretty poor though but that is the norm. I think some slider adjustments can fix that.

I take back what I said about the CPU running being poor.. They are much better..


and the camera, had to change back. Looks great , but only good for CPU vs CPU.
