what do u guys mean by streamlining? and can u guys say like 1 example of what they streamlined?
finially getting closer to the end of ME1. opened idos but i am gonna try to explore the other planets and side quests before going on.....mako FTL
Without spoilers, I'd say the following:
1) It's no longer a grindfest. You do sidequests because they're interesting, not to just boost levels (not that you were, but some people did). They limited the level cap I think to focus more on what the powers did, and the powers benefit greatly from that.
2) No more clunky goddamn inventory with 1 million collected items that you don't need and thus have to melt into Omni-gel or sell. In fact, you don't even HAVE an inventory. Every gun you find, you keep. Every upgrade you find, everyone benefits from (for the most part, unless it is Shepard specific). The game is more focused on the combat and storytelling than the RPG aspect, and while when I heard that initially I thought that I wouldn't like it, I fucking loved it.
3) I personally love the combat. It's fast, intense, and while not as difficult as ME1 was on Normal, I'm going to go ahead and guess it'll be plenty difficult on Veteran or Insanity (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, people who played it on those levels). Basically, when I reached the end of ME1, I loved it, but I also was a little exhausted from the ride due to all of the clunky load times and boring sidequests. With ME2, I was exhausted when I was done because it was so intense from a combat, story, and sidequest perspective. I just never wanted it to end.
Now I want to go back and play again.
Edit -- oh yeah and 4) NO MORE MAKO. I can't stress how much better the sidequests are in this game.
