i might just rent this now. If people are doing everything at 25 hrs then thats pretty fast.

i am at 50 hrs on me1 and just at the start of ilios....i thought with 2 discs i would get at least 50 hrs out of me2 as well.

do i just play extremely slow or is ME2 really that much shorter then 1?

I'm guessing these guys are not doing everything there is to offer.

I'm at like 12-13 hours and still have over half the team to collect + side stuff.

It's 2 discs because they don't recycle the environments.

I left some very minor sidequests behind, 3 at the most and still finished the game in 25 hours. Those 3 sidequests would have taken another hour at the MOST. Sadly, gathering your party is the majority of the game.

thats good to hear cause that means with my play style i would probably get about 40 hrs out of ME2....i play slow and search every area and turn every stone.....thanks for the info

i sacrificed ashley....i did a save to see how the next scene would play out both ways and the scenes were the same. I dont know how it would effect anything beyond the start of ilos.....i assume if i saved ashley that i would have gotten the booty call from her....but by sacrificing her i had it with lamira

since i am a soldier i never used ashley. I always took liamra and tiar with me....very rarley did i use anyone else.

i am hoping i finish it up tonight so i can start ME2

Just so you know Maynard, for both ME1 and ME2 you can romance a character without ever taking them with you. Just need to do the right dialogue shit.

Finally finished it, completed almost all of the side quests. Gonna take a break from it and run through it again.

 

Two people die at the end, and it really pissed me off who they are

Odd, both happened during cutscenes. I basicly raped the whole level, but when the cutscenes happened they met their demise.

Was everyone loyal to you? Because no one died for me either and I had everyone loyal and had maxed out conversation trees with everyone. Maybe it has something to do with that?

yeah i just mentioned who i took as my reasoning behind my sacrifice. i never use ashley so thats why she was expandable.....allthough i never use kaiden either, but i figure i might have more use for him later.

so let me ask u guys this. If i start a new ME1 game, how does that work with my current career? i know i will use my same guy at my current level, but will it just be a harder game to play the 2nd time thru.....and will i have ashley again and be able to turn my guy into a full rengade if i choose to do that....or will my karma reset?

It's a complete restart. The game is only more difficult if you up the difficulty level (beating it will unlock Hardcore, beating Hardcore will unlock Insane). Basically it is the exact same game except all of your weapons, the upgrades you have in them, and all of your armor and the upgrades you have in them will carry over, along with your level. You'll also get to redistribute your points, which can be helpful if you found you wasted some on skills you never use.

I sent Garrus on one, he came back and I used him in my last battle, Samara protected me with her biotic shield, and she was available at the end, and finally I sent Jack back with the survivors and got word that she made it okay. Did all of that happen for you?

It's a complete restart. The game is only more difficult if you up the difficulty level (beating it will unlock Hardcore, beating Hardcore will unlock Insane). Basically it is the exact same game except all of your weapons, the upgrades you have in them, and all of your armor and the upgrades you have in them will carry over, along with your level. You'll also get to redistribute your points, which can be helpful if you found you wasted some on skills you never use.

Samara stayed with me and protected me, I sent the survivors back by themselves (the made it fine). Tali went in the ducts, and died when we were trying to get the doors closed. Jack was in my party and died after we shot the tube things feeding the reaper.

thanks for the info. that thing about the points is awesome....love that. i would have to bump up the level, but its nice they give you the option. it would be way easy with my beefed up crew
