Couple questions for anyone that has finished the game (use spoilers)

What is the last mission you start that locks you into finishing the game?

The squad member that you have to activate, is there a loyalty mission for them?

I'm not sure what you mean by your last question but, if my assumption is correct, I'll just say: make everyone loyal.

Also, without giving any spoilers, there is a mission involving an IFF (shouldn't give anything away): make sure you do all the loyalty and sidequest missions available to you BEFORE you do that mission. Trust me.

IFF mission is where it all begins. When you finish that mission, it'll put in motion all the events that lead to the end. You do not have to go to the Omega 4 relay after the IFF though. But, taking a certain amount of time between when the normandy is officially ready to go, and using the Omega 4 relay, it can affect the end of your game.

Just to expand a little:

 

From what I understand, the wait between the IFF mission and going through the Omega 4 really only effects your non-playable people (think Yeoman Chambers, Chakwas, etc...).

i just got to this point that u guys are talking about. i still have to find one more member..
Took me 29 hrs and 32 mins to get to this point.

regarding the mission u are talking about

 

i thought i got locked in to the end of the game stuff. i came across the msv broken arrow and right after i got done with it i was forced to goto the collectors ship.....glad i now have the option to finish looking for people and doing loyalty stuff, then goto IFF

regarding members and.....

 

i just have tali left to get. i have only done 2 loyalty missions

playing as an adept, i was so happy to come across this

 

i was able to choose from 3 training options, assult weapon, sniper, shotty. i did assult weapons training and now i can use those guns.....sweet!

Still, nothing beats the collector particle beam

question about the 2nd play thru

 

so i have the advanced training where i can use any of my loyal members special power....so i get that 1 in my first play thru....my understanding is that on the 2nd play thru i also get a new power.....if that is correct, do i get to keep the one i got from the advanced training in my first play thru, and get a new one in my 2nd play thru......i am trying to plan ahead.

i am thinking of taking miranda's power....slam, then taking somthing else on a 2nd run

how does it affect the game if you have the council die?

and for the suicide mission, does the kidnapped normandy crew factor into the "No one left behind" achievement?

1) Not in any exciting way. Other races hate your for the decision. I'd like to see what the game is like if it were alive.

That is all. I just started the IFF mission, after doing all the side missions and upgrading just about everything.

Credits are rough. The only finite resource in the game. I was happy I didn't waste it all on sidequests and probes in my first playthrough.

I had 2 crew members die on the Collector ship...Tali and Zaeerus. I chose poorly, I guess.

I also kept the Collector ship intact so humans could research it to fight the Reapers. I wonder why it was the Renegade choice...

The armada of Reapers ships looks pretty bad.

Because it's greedy. You're doing it to give humanity the strongest fleet, as opposed to doing it to stop the Reapers.

That's the reason that I did it. Every word the Illusive Man said, I disagreed with...up until keeping the ship. What he said actually made sense....

The decisions I think will have the biggest effect on the next game are that one, the crew living...and if you finished Liara's quests. She's going to be a major player in the third game.

I really want to see what happens if you let Sheperd die at the end....and then import that save game.
