Yasubey Enemoto has officially signed to M-1 and will be fighting Shamil Zavurov for the M-1 welterweight title on M-1 Challenge XXV.

I love me some Yasubey.
 
Douglas Lima, the reigning MFC champion, has signed on to fight in next season's Bellator Welterweight Tournament.

The kid is a great prospect (his younger brother Dhiego is an up-and-coming prospect in his own right), trains at ATT in Atlanta and is 18-4.

Will have to see the other 7 guys in the field but I'm stoked Lima's in it.

Thursday at 11pm on YES, Dana White sits down with Forbes Sports Business show.

The hype clip showed him talking about how MMA is now bigger than boxing and wrestling combined, and then claiming MMA is not legal in NY because of connections between lawmakers and unions. Then one of the politicians basically laughed it off (couldn't tell if it was Reilly or not).

The New York State Senate voted 42-18 to legalize mixed martial arts in the state. The bill still needs to be passed in the state Assembly. No vote is currently scheduled. It would also have to be signed by the Governor, but if it passes the assembly, that is expected to happen.

This is now the second time in as many years the state senate has passed a legalizing MMA bill. Last year, the measure never even reached the state assembly so there's no guarantee it will this year either.

Sheldon Silver and of course, old man Reilly are now in play, I believe.

"Not in my division, but overall probably Koscheck," Bonnar said when asked who rubbed him the wrong way. "Mainly because I started a new t-shirt line called Trash Talking Kids, kinda a parody of the old Garbage Pail Kids from the 80's except with UFC fighters. He actually inspired the idea, he talks so much s**t in the Daley fight and after the fight. The whole time I see Koscheck talking s**t to him on the ground, I thought it was hilarious and I was carrying on about it.

"Then sure I knew he was gonna get to Daley. Turns out afterward that he was saying terrible things about Daley's mom and all that. Well it's kinda understandable that Daley tried to punch him afterwards and sure enough he got to Daley. Daley lost his cool and punched him afterwards. I thought it was the funniest thing, like he is just a trash talking kid at heart.

Turns out we won't be able to sell his but we will be able to sell the other ones. I didn't think his was gonna sell too much anyway. We're getting hit up his lawyers at the moment, it's been a pain in the ass. So if anyone rubs me the wrong way, it'll be Koscheck for sicking his lawyers on me.

The race to legalize MMA in New York is down to the wire. The legislative calendar ends Monday (does not start again until January 2012) and they obviously have a ton of stuff to go through (the biggest thing in terms of media is same-sex marriage).

It's all about whether enough representatives in the State Assembly support it that they can bring it to a vote on the floor and win. If they cannot get it to a vote in time or if they do and it fails....fucking politicians.
