If you were to go onto the New York State Assembly's website, click around until you got to "Assembly Committee Agenda," scroll down and click on the Ways & Means link, or any of its five addendum links, you'd find no reference to Bill No. A-04146.
You know, the bill that would legalize mixed martial arts in the state of New York.
As of noon Thursday, It is nowhere to be found on the Ways & Means committee's agenda for the next few days. And this legislative session ends Monday, June 20. Rashad Evans (pictured above, left) was in Albany earlier this week with UFC officials trying to argue their case.
Denny Farrell Jr. (D-Manhattan) is the committee chairman. “I don’t think very much of the sport. Next we’ll give them clubs with spikes on the end; that will be good,” Farrell was quoted as saying by the Journal News.
