Charlotte blew Louisville out by 20 points. It took everything Villanova had to fend off Louisville the other day.

It was a strange year for the Big East non-con. Pitt, Louisville, and WVU all were without key players (Brown, Dixon, Ebanks, Sosa). Although Louisville isn't on Pitt or WVU's level.

They were undoubtedly better than Lousiville and UCONN, who you had listed as better than any top teams this year, which is absurd.

And Pitt would have been waxed by UNC. UNC's guards would have run them out of the gym. Pitt couldn't even beat Villanova, who got absolutely worked by UNC. The Pitt and their woulda coulda shoulda scenarios are laughable. UNC "did".

Ok so you're comparing an all guard team to a post-wing team? Do you know anything about basketball? Nova played the game of their lives. (Let's not forget UNC's 37 Free Throws in that Final Four game)

I'm assuming Nova's the "all guard" team. Who's the "post win" team? Pitt? If you knew anything about basketball you would know that UNC was an "all position" team, and would have matched well with either or. I don't care who the team is. There wasn' any college team in the nation that could out match UNC last year.

"Nova played the game of their lives". Yea I'm just going to stop right there. If Pitt was a Championship calibur team they would have matched Nova in the "game of their lives". They lost that game and their 2008-2009 story ended right there to a lower seed, again.

I could easily make excuses for Kansas last year, when they outplayed Michigan State for 38 and a half minutes only to lose at the very end, but I'm not going too. They lost, period.

I still can't believe you're comparing teams that have an entire season under their belt to teams that are just getting into conference play. What was UNC, the best team in the nation by far last year, doing at this time? Losing consecutive conference games I believe.

I'm saying Pitt would have given UNC a game, you're acting like they'd blow them out by 40. Blair is better than Hansborough and Young was better than Green. Lawson was a slight edge over Fields (in big game situations they are closer, otherwise Lawson is much better).

while suton may have been one of Michigan states best players the slack has picked up. The problem with michigan state is despite having amazing leaders in the PG position going ways back they always have trouble holding on to the ball. I'm not saying they could have beat UNC last year but they would have been competitive if they kept their hands on the ball. Further it's not so much "turning it on in march" as it is playing year in and year out one of the top schedules in the country and reaping the benefits come march.

Michigan states 3 losses this year are from 3 teams combined to be 39-10 (@UNC, @Texas and neutral court Florida)

Not 40, like 20. Probably the same score they beat Mich St, and everybody else. The matchip scenario doesn't even matter. UNC's closest game was Oklahoma. They didn't play well at all, and weren't really threatened the entire game.

Doesn't matter it's a moot argument. I'm just saying I'm not listening to any argument for Pitt (edit), or anyone else who didn't play UNC. They lost that right to wonder by losing to other teams, all inferior to Carolina, in the tournament.

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

You can't compare teams because they didn't play? That's like saying Temple is better than Nova because they beat them once.

losing road games in the big ten is common place even the shitty teams have solid chance to pull upsets at home, minus situation like meechigan had during the ammaker/ellerbe years where you are only playing infront of 5000.

Our starting point guard, senior Jimmy Langhurst, was in street clothes, but we had three freshmen combine for 42 points. Even with the departures of five seniors this year, we should still run the NEC for years to come. Kentucky is going to be in their situation next year. Everyone already had Cousins, Wall, and Patterson penciled in as first round picks. Now the talk is scouts are very high on Eric Bledsoe and he could go first round next year as well I thought Bledsoe would be around 2 or 3 years.

We have no point guard. That's going to be a big problem this year. Goodson is not all that great on either end of the court.

Also, as good as Elias Harris is on offense he is a BIG liability on defense. GU is going to have to score a LOT all season.
