Alabama won every other regular season game and won the SEC championship, only to lose to TCU in the national championship game. The Florida game went into overtime. Justin Cooper missed the Oklahoma, Houston and Vanderbilt games with broken ribs and was knocked out of the Texas A&M game with a concussion.

Going into the season we asked Cooper to do reduce the amount of sacks and turnovers. He managed to succeed both objectives. Last season he was sacked 41 times and threw 11 interceptions, and this season he was only sacked 28 times, and limited his interceptions to 6. Our offense was pretty conservative this season, so the stats weren't gaudy, but I was pleased with the efficiency Cooper showed this season. Hoping he makes a leap going into his senior year and can get to an elite level.

Craft was really good in backup duty early in the year when Cooper missed three games due to broken ribs, but the A&M game was a brutal experience for the sophomore. Cooper left the game with a concussion early in a 7-7 game, and Craft could only manage 3 completions on 14 attempts. The loss was quite the let down coming off of the flawless domination of Alabama a week prior.

Gaston is a horse, but for whatever reason he did not get in the end zone very much this season. Stamina was an issue, as he had to bow out of many drives once we got inside the red zone. It's strange when your speed back starts poaching TDs from your power back, but that happened more than a few times for me this year.

Culver will be missed. He made more of an impact in the return game, where he took five kickoffs to the house in his career and amassed 3000 total return yards, but he emerged into the most steady target in the receiving corps over the last two years. Gavin Witherspoon will also be a huge loss. He was a 4-year starter at tight end and finished with 122 grabs, 1400 yards and 14 touchdowns for his career. Even with the loss of G-Spoon and Culver, I think this unit can actually be better next season with Dixon and Greene on the outside and Russell in the slot.

We are losing a ton of talent this season, including junior defensive end Rick Christian, who is opting to go pro after posting back to back 10 sack seasons. Between Christian, fellow early entry Andy Ashley and senior DE Jacob Baker, we will have to replace 3/4 of our defensive line next season. It's the same situation with our back seven, as we will lose all three starting linebackers and both starting safeties. Thankfully, corner backs Joe Hunter and Lewis McFadden will return to stabilize the secondary somewhat, but there will be a lot of holes in the Tiger defense next fall due to these departures.

[size=-2]Overall this was my best year as OC at Buffalo and I am pretty damn happy with the results. Troy Cannon was a force passing for 30 TD's and winning most of the games on his own. My running game struggled pretty bad throughout the year and my starting HB Reeds' stats are sort of misleading. The question I face now is after 3 years do I see anymore potential and stick around for the last year on my contract, or do I move on to another school who may offer a brighter future.[/size]

[size=-2]After Troy Cannon had his fantastic Freshman season end so abrutly with his season ending injury last year, there was questions if he could return to his Freshman form and put up the stats he did. Well those questions were answered as he threw for 1,000 more yards, 4 more TD's and brought this team a MAC Championship and a Bowl win. Joe Licata, who started 2 seasons ago, lost his job at the beginning of last season to Cannon.[/size]

[size=-2]Reed has a very misleading stat line to say the least. He continuously got stomped on most downs. I could not trust him for crucial 3rd and 1's EVER. They only reason his yardage and TD's are so high is because if he gets a block off the edge, he is gone. True Frosh Fontaine did not impress me either and was stopped quite often as well. Granted, my offensive line is, to put it bluntly, terrible. I've added a couple of 3 star G's who will hopefully be better than what I have.[/size]

[size=-2]TE Jimmy Gordon was a monster for Cannon this season. He was also a detriment at times. With his high yardage/TD's he was easily the best receiver on my team. However, his 11 drops hurt us badly on some occasions, especially in the loss against Akron and Baylor. My deep threat playmaker this year was Neutz. If I needed a bomb, I threw it too him.[/size]

So I am at a bind as to what I want to do. My top 3 choices right now are that I am leaning towards staying for my last year, taking the Texas Tech job, and taking the Pitt job. I also am very interested in the Hawaii job. I am thinking it may be more practical to stay and finish out my contract and then go elsewhere, but the potential high powered offense I could create at Texas Tech and Hawaii seem too good to pass up. I know one thing and that is I don't want to be a head coach for a while in this dynasty (in year 2023 in my Miami dynasty and have been Head Coach for 8 out of those years=already built my powerhouse and BORED).

If you don't want to be a HC for a while then I'd stay at Buffalo. You're not going to get many enticing offers, because it's Buffalo, so it will prolong the process of you receiving an offer you can't pass up.

Do you guys do the recruiting when you're an OC in your dynasty, or do you just put it on auto and let the CPU do it?

I only do it during the offseason. I will add and remove prospects during the season, but that's it.

I was wondering how some of you guys were flying through seasons because I am so sick of doing recruiting right now. It is such a boring 10-15 minutes. Being a shit school you want to just get right back into the game and try and win, not sit and here and try and recruit all day. I probably have to restart my dynasty if the file is broken, and if so I'll end up letting the CPU do it. Either that or I may give another shot at the RtG.

I just mash A repeatedly for important recruits and I quick call for not so important recruits.

And I guess I should have explained Buffalos situation better. If I stay next year I don't see me, as an offensive coordinator, being up to put up 14+ points on any given day. I have my QB and RB still returning which is a plus, but I will be losing every one of my olineman and 3 of my top WR's. Not to mention the defense is losing an unbelievable amount.

With that said, right now it is between going to Texas Tech or Hawaii. At this point I am 80/20 favoring Texas Tech because of the legacy I could create as I implement a pro style one back system, or gradually transform from a spread to a spread option.

BTW Immortal did you ever get another job offer?

Well for Texas Tech sorta has pieces to run the Spread, but it won't be pretty. I say we go 7-5 with a probably bowl loss so 7-6. Our conference is pretty tough, so we shall see. The Defense is god awful, but Texas Tech cleaned house and hired a new HC, DC and obviously myself at OC.

I am going after a 5 star QB that I really don't think I will get, but heh, you never know. He would rape in the spread offense.

EDIT: Also, my first game is no shit against Buffalo. I did not even schedule them lmfao. Buffalo plays myself, Baylor AND fucking Texas AM WTF LOL. They are going to get raped.

Fuuuuuuuuck the first game was a fucking nail biter against BUFFALO. Wow, my defense is god awful.

I forgot to mention earlier that Texas Tech is a 2 star school lol. Ouch.

If I had a better defense I would say I would do pretty good my first year, but we almost let Buffalo beat us.

It took me an entire half to get used to the Spread, but I starting to get the hang of it and did pretty good. Week 3 is against TCU (i moved them to the Big 12) and I am going to get destroyed.

So I simmed past the week I was freezing on and ended up with the loss, but whatever, moved on to ULL where my RB actually was the player of the game and showed signs of being a threat in the back field.

My main RB Darian Mallary (77ovr) had 28 carries for 109yrds and 2 TD's, while my back up had 3 carries for 20 yards and 2 goal line TD's. On tossed one TD with my QB and 301 yrds.

Still not having a great season. Currently at 3-4 (2-1) and sit in third in the Sun Belt behind Arkansas State 5-1 and Florida Atlantic 4-3.

That 5 star QB, 2nd overall recruit I talked about in an earlier post? Well he had NO interest in going to Texas Tech, but after about 6 weeks I pulled within 360 points of Iowa. I kept talking to him and downplaying Iowa and finally after week 11 he FINALLY lists me as number 1 and a soft commit! Then the next week he HARD committed. FUCK. YES. This kid is going to be AMAZING. Dude is built like mister Cam cam Newton. Can't wait.

I took the OC job at Oregon State. We are currently 3-0, but those wins were against shitty teams. The RB we have is a beast. Through three games he has something like 750 yards and 9 TD.

With the right sliders, it negates how bad the AI is.

For instance the sliders I use are fantastic and make it difficult as hell to outsmart and outplay the AI.

Maybe because I don't play football games all year every year, but I just deal with it. Comes to a point in your gaming life when you just got to stop giving a damn about complaining about AI all the time. It will never be perfect with 22 players on the field at one time all doing different shit, something is going to fuck up. I accepted that and just play to have a fun game of football.
