NCAA Dynasty Update Thread

Art Briles - Baylor HC (fired) to Buffalo HC
Ryan Cubit - Western Michigan OC to Eastern Michigan HC
Mark Snyder - USF DC to Louisville DC

Mark Criner - Idaho DC to ULM HC
Dan McCarney - North Texas HC to Ark St DC
Rich Ellerson - Army HC (fired) to USF DC
Mike Canales - North Texas OC to Western Michigan OC ***interviewed for position***
Gary Nord - Purdue OC to Baylor OC
Ron English - Eastern Michigan HC (fired) to Utah State DC
Rick Stockstill - MTSU HC (fired) to FIU OC
Pete Lembo - Ball State HC (fired) to Idaho OC
Dave Clawson - Bowling Green HC (fired) to Army OC
Todd Berry - ULM HC (fired) to North Texas OC

Job offers made to me:
- Baylor OC position; Almost accepted since RGIII was coming back and the offense, as a whole, is very talented

- FIU OC position; Would've brought me "home" to Florida, but, I am not leaving USC for the OC position at FIU. If I was replacing Mario Cristobal as HC, I may have done it.

- Idaho OC position; LULZ

- Army OC position; mega-lulz

- North Texas OC position; State of Texas has a ton of talent, and recruiting depth, and if it was a HC offer, I would have accepted it.

Also, I am moving from a pro-set offense to a one-back set. Going to create a custom PB that resembles that of the Dennis Erickson era Hurricanes and Mike Price Washington State offenses. I think this will allow me to actually get more balance out of the offense and let Barkley push the ball down the field more.

Yeah you made a good call staying at USC. I guarentee you stay there at least another season and have a really good yea, you will get unbelievable hcing offers.

And when I took over Miami they somhow switched back to spread. I was like fuck that and I also switched to one back and it did wonders for my offense. For defense I do a mix of a 4-3 cover 2 defense, and a 3-3-5 man to man.

Finished Season 2 and the final year of my contract as SMU OC. We went 5-7 the first, year, and 7-6 this one. The season culminated in a 28-21 loss to Mississippi State in our bowl game.

I'm losing a lot of good seniors after this year, including starting HB Zach Line who missed a lot of this season, but still finished with over 1000 yards. His career numbers are:

483 Carries, 2637 Yards, 5.5 AVG, 131.9 Yards Per Game, 11 TD, Only 2 Fumbles
24 Rec, 282 Yards, 11.8 AVG, 3 TD, 0 Drops

I'm also losing receiver Darius Johnson, who's career numbers are:

51 Rec, 1471 Yards, 28.8 AVG, 13 TD, 1 Rush TD.

Garrett Gilbert is only a junior, so luckily I'll still have him if I stay another season at SMU. He passed for 3049 yards (#2 in SMU history) and 27 TDs (#1 in SMU history).

My true freshman back, Prince Williams, who played the majority of the season in Line's absence played oustanding, even better than Line.

185 Att, 1107 Yards, 5.9 AVG, 11 TD
36 Rec, 293 Yards, 8.1 AVG, 3 TD

He is what makes me want to stay. Best recruit I've ever gotten at a not-so-good team.

Actually, nevermind. I don't get a choice to stay at SMU, as I was just fired. I don't really get it. I met all but two of my goals, one of which had no negative impact.

I got HC offers at Tulsa and Kent State, but declined instead taking the 2-year OC job at Louisville. I'm very intrigued by Teddy Bridgewater and look forward to playing at him next season.

Welp, I'm busting out my old OC dynasty that I've had on the backburner for a couple months now.

Year 1 - OC at Middle Tennessee State (1* school) to start things off. Had a great running attack running Mississippi State's playbook, and really had success in the Sun Belt. Ended up going 9-3 and winning the conference title, but lost the New Orleans Bowl 41-38 because of a missed FG (Here's where I started the watch all FG's and XP tactic).

Year 2 - Baylor's OC got a HC job elsewhere, and I was chosen to take his spot. RGIII was 99 overall and the perfect guy for my system, which I expanded to include I-formation sets, and we had the nation's #1 offense, with great balance. My RB actually ended up finishing 3rd in the Heisman voting, with 303 carries for 1,485 yards and 17 TD. We went 10-3 and won the Cotton Bowl.

Year 3 - Got hired as the OC at Florida State after they fired their old one. They have a lot of young talent on their roster... QB Coker is a good one, RB James Wilder, Jr. is a stud, and TE Nick O'Leary is just a flat out monster - and they are all sophomores. Had an amazing year, going 13-1 and winning the national championship (I just got plain shutdown by Clemson, they went 5-7 but beat me 28-10) with Wilder winning the Heisman by rushing 304 times for 2,589 yards and 34 TD. I've never had a back as dominant as he was... his combination of size/speed/acceleration was just unreal. Also had my first 1,000 yard receiver on 12 with O'Leary besting that mark and having 12 TD's as well.

And this is where I left off. Had a couple of overtures from some big name programs to be HC (USC and Stanford), but turned them down because Luke Fickell is on the verge of being fired at the end of this season and I really want to end up in Columbus and try and rebuild things there (They've gone 23-17, at 4* prestige right now). Plus I wanted to actually be in the same place for more than 1 season.

I lost pretty much all of my skill position players to NFL: Coker (32/7 TD/INT ratio), Wilder (Heisman), O'Leary (Mackey), and my top 2 WR's all left early. Somehow I'm going to have to rebuild this offense, not sure exactly how that's going to work out yet. WR in particular will be interesting since I have two upperclassmen in the mid-80s and then 70 ovr and lower freshman.

Starting year 2 and I forgot to mention that I added Mike Leach, Urban Meyer and Rich Rodriguez before year 1 to their respective schools.

Leach went 3-9 at Wazzu
RichRod went 4-8 at Arizona
Meyer went 10-3 at tOSU

Also added the conference changes prior to the second year.

Also, to start year 2, the created prospects are the late Jerome Brown and Tommie Frazier.

Losing skill positions at not so good schools= worst thing ever.

I love getting like a shitty recruit in the eyes of big schools, but for my littele school he is a 66 overall freshaman god.

At St Augustine I had a recruit commit named Ricky Williams. He ended up being a 66 overall at 6'1" with 89 speed 90 acc 85 stiff arm and he destroyed EVERYONE. It was so fantastic. He pretty much broke all records while I was there (I left after 4 seasons) and his senior season he was legit in the heisman run.

Oh hey, I can dig this thread. I'm running a Grambling State dynasty on NCAA 06 right now. 5 seasons in, Heisman difficulty with sliders favoring me slightly, but I'm going to work with them now that my team is actually a damn good one. I'm playing about 4-5 games a season so I don't spend a whole week playing out one year.

And just for the record, I only recruit blacks (obviously). Unless it's a kicker or punter, then I just change their race.

2005:
- Put my team in the Sun Belt, taking the place of Middle Tennessee State (sorry Irish and Herm). Behind Grambling great Bruce Eugene, I went 3-9 with my only conference win over UL-Lafayette. Only solid players I had were Eugene, Brandon Landers (backup QB), DT Jonathan Favors and CB DeMichael Dizer.
- In-season recruiting brought me a five-star receiver named Rodney Hansbro and a five-star linebacker named Eric Monroe. Also brought in two three-star tight ends and a three-star quarterback, along with some random spots.
- Gained a HB transfer from FIU and a WR transfer from Texas in the off-season. The HB, Ben West, has two years remaining with me, while the WR, Tyrell Gatewood, has one.
- Ohio State won the NC over Florida, 34-31, in overtime.

2006:
- Improved by going 6-6 overall and 3-4 in conference play. Big win was over an overrated Florida State team in Tallahasee with Hansbro (99 speed :fap:) going off for 11-261-3. Brandon Landers entered the season as my QB, but he got hurt midway through and I had to turn to the frosh Jonathan Jackson. He did a good job, but Landers is by far the more talented guy. Also, I accepted an invite to the WAC after this season, because the WAC believed Nevada's diversity numbers were not acceptable for the conference.
- Monroe and Hansbro each were All-Americans and were the best players on my team. Hansbro had 2 kick return TDs and 5 punt return TDs (eat my dick Devin Hester) and won the Best Returner Award.
- In-season recruiting brought me a five-star guard in Quinton Terrell, a four-star defensive tackle in Mark Jackson and a four-star free safety in Blake Barr. Picked up a lot of two-star corners during the off-season recruiting period.
- USC won the title over Texas (who had Vince Young stay for his senior year).

2007:
- Breakout season. I have talent in a lot of positions on the team and the WAC was a down conference. Went 9-4 and then upset Virginia Tech in the MPC Computers Bowl, 28-17. Didn't really play anyone tough OOC but I destroyed Louisiana Tech, 56-7, in a game where all my recruits were at. Landers, finally healthy, threw 48 touchdowns and was second-team All-American. Hansbro won the Returner Award again with 4 TD (1 KR, 3 PR) and my transfers were awesome with the FIU back rushing for over 1000 yards and the Texas receiver catching 16 TDs.
- Five-star receiver William Miller (99 speed :fap:), five-star center Dale Brigham and four-star tackle Don Marcus all were recruits in-season.
- USC went back-to-back, beating Georgia 45-19.

2008:
- Strange season because I finished third in the WAC with a 6-2 record and didn't get a bowl invite. Went 10-2 overall and destroyed LSU, 38-7, in Death Valley. I think Ryan Perrilloux threw 5 picks that game...couldn't get anything going. Hansbro won the Heisman, Maxwell, Biletnikoff and the Returner awards with a statline of 116-1741-25 and 2 punt return TDs. I actually swept most of the awards strangely, cause my FIU back won the walker after having 16 TDs and Monroe won the Bednarik and Butkus. Had two bad losses to Hawaii (cheesy ass quarterback) and Fresno State that cost me my bowl bid.
- Five-star receiver Elvis Franklin (no 99 speed, just a big 6'5" target) and five-star quarterback Kevin Harris were my big gets in recruiting. Also landed a three-star athlete in Brock Ford who was converted to QB and has 89 speed.
- Florida State won the title over Ohio State, 19-7.
- Hansbro, Monroe and the QB Jackson all thought about leaving for the draft, but I got Hansbro and Monroe to stay. Didn't really go after Jackson because he wasn't fun to play with and I had the five-star guy coming in.

2009:
- GIVE US A DAMN PLAYOFF! 13-0 in what was such an incredible team to play with. I laid the lumber on Maryland in the MPC Computers Bowl (no BCS bowl, wtf), 49-28, and took down teams like Pittsburgh (56-3) and Notre Dame (44-14) by large margins. Didn't have much of a running game but didn't need one with my talented receiving corps. Hansbro (99-1442-16), Miller (70-1015-11) and Franklin (53-993-13) were all nuts and I got to play both of my freshman quarterbacks in Harris and Ford because Harris got injured halfway through the season for a few weeks. Hansbro won his fourth straight Returner of Year award with 3 punt return scores.
- Best recruiting class by far (moved up to four or five-star prestige after this). Two five-star guards, a five-star tailback (giving me a running game again), seven four-stars and a few three-star guys. Now I need to get moved to a BCS conference in order to make the game more challenging.
- Oklahoma got revenge for '03 by beating LSU, 28-23, in the title game.

2010:
- Two games in right now and I'm 2-0. Beat a bad Florida Atlantic squad in the opener, then made a miraculous fourth-quarter comeback against #14 Tennessee. I benched Harris that game because he threw 3 picks in the first half, put in Ford and Ford dominated only missing on one pass. Don't know what I'm going to do about the QB situation yet but Harris somehow is still the Heisman leader somehow after that game. Elvis Franklin is absolute cheese at WR cause his big body allows me to just throw it up for him. Frosh RB is doing well too and giving me some balance on offense. Besides linebacker, my defense looks like it's the best one I've ever had, so undefeated again is a possibility. I'm ranked 15th now so maybe I can get into the title game if I go 12-0.

Yeah you made a good call staying at USC. I guarentee you stay there at least another season and have a really good yea, you will get unbelievable hcing offers.

Yeah, all of those offers didn't really wow me. Even if I don't get anything amazing after this season, I still will have opportunities to go somewhere.

During recruiting, does anyone institute house rules? For example, there is an issue with signing 25 guys every season and then having to cut guys. So, I have decided to only offer a certain number of scholarships each year. Prior to the season, I go through the roster and count the number of seniors on the roster and then add 3. So during the 2012 season at USC, I will have 17 scholarships to offer for the 2013 recruit class. Then, if I lose more than 3 underclassmen to transfer or the draft, I can go after guys in the 5-week post-season recruiting period.

TB would be nice to play with. Plus, you get to play in a AQ conference and may have a shot at a offer after just one season at Louisville.

You are FSU...RELOAD MOTHAFUCKA!

HA! I remember Bruce Eugene! Spent some time with the Bucs in TC some years back.

I boosted his ratings just a tad pre-dynasty because he was a 60 overall and he was by far the best player on those Grambling teams for years.

Just really hope I can get an invite to the SEC soon. If I don't get an invite to another conference within the next few seasons, I might just start up a new dynasty with a created RMU team.

Fuck those assholes for firing you. Schedule to play them with Louisville and run the score up on those fags. :smug:

Haha, actually I moved SMU to the Big East (and a couple other teams to make a 12 team conference), so I could play them every year.

TB would be nice to play with. Plus, you get to play in a AQ conference and may have a shot at a offer after just one season at Louisville.

Like above, I was already in the BE haha. And no conference is AQ, because I made all BCS Seeds At-Larges.

I won my first game as Louisville OC 38-28 in a conference game against Air Force. Teddy Bridgewater played outstanding, winning POTG after a 17/23, 240 Yards, 3 TD, 24 Att (7 sacks), 105 Yards, 1 TD game.

My HB Jeremy Wright busted off two 40 yard runs and finished with 159 yards rushing. My favorite receiver is definitely Michaelee Harris (94 catch rating), as he pulled in 6 balls for 67 yards and converted many first downs.

I think I have a legitimate chance at a conference title with TB at QB.
