The ripple effect of this will be very interesting. If Mizzou, Clemson and FSU do indeed leave.. suddenly the Big XII is down to 8 schools. They'd have to lose AQ status you'd believe. Although with Texas and OU in the mix, who knows if that'd be the case. If the ACC lost Clemson and FSU the football side of that conference takes a sizable blow and they're back down to 10 schools. I figure that C-USA would be the next conference to be raided with the likes of Houston, SMU, Tulsa, Memphis, UTEP, UCF all likely to be targeted .. then where does that leave the leftovers of that conference? It's crazy how one school leaving could start another chain reaction similar to what we had go down last year when Colorado and Nebraska left the Big 12.
This is going to slowly start to phase out the mid-major conferences IMO. What few programs with notoriety on the football side of things will soon by snatched up by these so called power conferences.
