Blount did it in 11 games. The Bucs beat CLE, CIN, and CAR and lost to PIT and NO in those games. Bucs honestly didn't beat a real good team all year.

EDIT: BTW, Freeman didn't only had a passer rating over 100 once without Blount, and that was against the Panthers. Sure doesn't seem like Blount made a huge impact.....

Never said Blount didn't make a huge impact. The quarterback makes a bigger impact though.

Blount impacted Freeman and the offense more by himself. Now add in Mike Williams, and it's a no-brainer.

Seems like the QB's impact was directly related to the additions of those two players.

What changed? Williams for Antonio Bryant, Blount for C.Williams. the QB didn't change, you geek. He improved, sure, but that had a lot to do with the arrrival of those two skill guys. Freeman didn't single handedly change the Bucs. Its a myth.

You'd have a better argument if we had more games to work with. With him making the progress in year 2 that TONS of players make after horrendous rookie years coming at the same time as those additions, it's hard to judge the before and after with such a young player.

But, really, I like how you're painting the picture of Williams coming in and being the man that helped Freeman when he was just a rookie. It was probably the other way around, with the team captain helping the rookie.

Cadillac is softer than bread and was relegated to third down back when Blunt took over, who pounded the ball like a beast, which clearly opened up the passing game based on Freeman's improved statistics before/after.

And yes, Williams definately impacted Freeman more than the other way around. LOOK AT FREEMANS NUMBERS IN 2009. And watch the video Shayne posted, its practically all Williams making great plays!
