One more thing to rag on the Rockies about:

Fuck their mascot (whose name I just figured out was Dinger). Apparently he does this often but, he was behind home plate in the eighth (and maybe the ninth, was too stressed then to look) being all kinds of obnoxious and trying to distract Lee. Isn't this Major League baseball?

I don't care if fans do it, but if it's something like the mascot it's purely unsportsmanlike. Why not let him dance around in the hitter's eye then when the opposing team is at bat?

Rockies are a tough team -- if they can shore up their bullpen a little bit they'll be a threat next year.

Good series by the Rockies btw. You guys showed a lot of fight and forced our team to play our best ball possible. I have no doubt that the Rockies will be back next year and will play the same exact way. Hats off to Jim Tracy for making this club into a contender again, and good luck in the future years. Once again, good series Rockies fans, I may hate all of you, but I'll show respect to your club.

Thank you for finally realizing this.

IMO the Phillies are and were the Best team in the NL for the majority of the season and once they added Cliff Lee I kind of knew it was over for the rest of the NL.

GL vs. the Dodgers I'm rooting for you guys because I want the best team to Represent the NL in the WS.

Speaking of Rockies' fans -- just how clueless are they?

Going nuts on routine pop ups and ground balls that the Rockies hit. Annoyingly booing basically every pitch the Phillies didn't swing at because it wasn't a strike called. Oh, and apparently throwing to first base even once makes them cry as well. How about cheering when Werth fouled one off his foot and went down. I think they did it to Ruiz, too. I thought that stuff only happened in Philly.

I didn't think much of the fair weather Rockies' fans before this series, but I now have no respect for them because they are a bunch of whining, clueless crybabies who just started watching baseball in September.

Their team, on the other hand, is a tough group who could contend for a while. Jim Tracy is all class too, giving props to the Phils last night and not making any excuses.

My friend and I were talking about EXACTLY the same thing. Although there are a couple Rockie fans here that I don't mind (although the Rockies fans in general don't seem to pop up until their classic late season surge). Still, was REALLY annoying to hear boo's for every non-swing.

LOL @ Philly fans saying other fans booing is annoying, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black.

Give us a break it was fucking cold as hell out there in Game 3, the crowd wanted something to keep there mind of the cold. Come on Mobb don't act like you didn't boo a call out there in Left field during game 1. Also it's Coors Field where routine pop flys turn in to HR's...

Denver is a top tier sports market with a very knowledgeable fan base what ever the sport is. Seriously name me one other city in the US that has individual state of the art stadiums for Baseball, Football, Basketball/Hockey, Soccer and Rugby. Make no mistake people in Denver love their sports and know.

I will say there are more fair weather Rockies fans then any other major sports team in Denver. However the Rockies have just been around for less then 20 years. In any city that has a new expansion team that has a history of loosing this is whats expected. The only thing that will ever change this will be winning consistently. Not to mention Denver is a city where a lot of people move to rather then grow up their whole lives.

Oh and just to let it be known I'm a die hard Rockies fan and have been since 1996. I've been to at least one game of every playoff series including the World Series. I watch 95% of every regular season games and bleed black and silver as much as I do Orange and blue. However I will admit it's very hard to find some one similar here in town. There is no doubt its the Broncos town.

I don't post much here about the Rockies because I like feed back. 99.9% of VSN don't give two shits about the Rockies until they make a "late post season run." The funny thing is people here consider this year as a "late post season run" by the Rockies even though the Rox were a very good team for the majority of the season.

It's kind of why I posted it. Everyone gets on Philly fans because supposedly all we do is boo, yet it really happens everywhere.

I'm sorry though, the majority of Rockies fans are dumb. It got to be ridiculous when they'd boo basically any pitch the Phillies didn't swing at that was called a ball.

Also, those pop fly's they were going nuts over were about 100 feet from being home runs. They also went nuts on a weak one hopper to Rollins that went for a routine ground out.

Now that the series is over, I don't really care about it that much anymore. I'm sure I'll talk shit about Dodger fans again by the end of the series just because I grow to hate any opposing team's fans during the course of a playoff series, lol. I know it's both ways though, I'm just sick of everyone thinking booing and cheering injuries only happens in Philly.

Speaking of that, it was still classless that the fans cheered when Werth went to the ground after fouling one off his foot. They did it too Ruiz, too.
